Shandong Pakistan Equipment Manufacturing Industry Economic and Trade Cooperation Video Conference Successfully Held

On December 13th, a video conference on economic and trade cooperation between the Punjab Investment and Trade Commission (PBIT) of Pakistan and the Shandong Equipment Manufacturing Industry Association was successfully held. More than 400 Shandong entrepreneurs attended the video conference and had on-site conversations with key management of the neighboring province's Investment and Trade Commission.
The Punjab Investment and Trade Commission is the government of PunjabThe provincial trade and investment promotion agency established in 2009 has four core functions: investment promotion, investment consulting, China unit (project and policy research), and marketing and activities. The Shandong Equipment Manufacturing Industry Association was established on December 28, 2016. It is a provincial-level, comprehensive, industry-specific, non-profit social organization approved and registered by the Shandong Provincial Department of Civil Affairs. Its core functions include industry research, statistical analysis, reflecting industry common problems, promoting industry technological progress and development, organizing various forums, training, domestic and international exchanges, exhibitions and trade fairs, and industry promotion. This video conference is beneficial for both parties to further enhance their understanding of each other and develop new investment opportunities.

The leadership of the Provincial Investment and Trade Commission emphasized that in recent years, the total volume of Pakistan's automotive industry has increased45% are established in Punjab, creating many job opportunities for the local people and the automobile manufacturing center in Faisalabad city. The top industries established in Punjab include Coca Cola, PepsiCo, Renault, Foton, Deli Glass, etc. According to market research, Punjab has a complete textile production chain, which is different from many developing countries. Punjab also has a huge textile industry, including socks and carpets. This video conference provides a unique opportunity for audiences from both countries to share and exchange mutually beneficial ideas, promoting deeper economic ties between the two sides.
Ms. Gao Ling, President of Shandong Equipment Manufacturing Industry Association, stated that this video conference is a new attempt at cooperation between the two parties, seeking a more precise and efficient way of cooperation through video conferencing. She believes that both sides will have a very broad space for cooperation and development prospects, and hopes that the Shandong Equipment Manufacturing Industry Association can become a bridge of friendship, a link of communication, and a platform for cooperation between the two sides.
