Director Tang Bo visited Weifang for research on scientific and technological innovation work
According to the requirements of the theme education deployment of "staying true to our original aspiration and keeping our mission in mind", from June 28th to 29th, Tang Bo, Director of the Provincial Department of Science and Technology and Secretary of the Party Group, visited Weifang City to conduct research on scientific and technological innovation work, supervise and guide the rectification of scientific and technological issues raised in the program "Questioning Shandong", listen to grassroots opinions and suggestions face-to-face and point-to-point, promote and explain scientific and technological innovation policies, and mobilize the province's scientific and technological system to accelerate the construction of an innovative province. Weifang Municipal Party Secretary Hui Xin'an and Mayor Tian Qingying met with Director Tang Bo. Lin Hongyu, Deputy Secretary of Weifang Municipal Party Committee and Secretary of Shouguang Municipal Party Committee, and Wang Shuhua and Li Pingping, Deputy Mayors, participated in relevant research activities.
During the research, Tang Bo conducted on-site visits to enterprises and projects such as Huasheng Agriculture, Yatai Agriculture, Jiqing Chemical, GoerTek, Weichai Power, Tianrui Heavy Industry, Xinli Superconductor, and Shengrui Transmission. He communicated with the leaders of the enterprises on site to gain a detailed understanding of their technological innovation, platform construction, talent introduction, and the bottleneck issues that constrain their development. He encourages enterprises to make good use of various scientific and technological innovation policies issued by our province, deepen cooperation with universities, build high-level new research and development institutions and high-level innovation platforms, accelerate collaborative research and development of major key technologies around the industrial chain, and rely on scientific and technological innovation to promote high-quality development of enterprises. We provided on-site responses to the requirements and suggestions raised by the enterprise, and arranged for relevant departments and units to continuously follow up and provide good services.
At the symposium, Tang Bo introduced the deployment and policies in the construction of innovative provinces, reform of science and technology plans, layout of innovation platform construction, and cultivation of innovative enterprises. An analysis has been conducted on the technological issues reflected in the program 'Asking about Politics in Shandong', and it is required that both the technology management department and the technology enterprises and units involved must have the courage to turn their swords inward and break their wrists, and carry out strict and practical rectification and implementation as soon as possible.
Tang Bo fully affirmed the achievements of Weifang's scientific and technological innovation work, and hoped that Weifang would improve its standards, exert self pressure, comprehensively enhance the quality of innovative city construction, and bravely shoulder heavy responsibilities in supporting the construction of an innovative province. Accelerate the integration of "platform+talent+project", guide research institutions and enterprises to compete for national level scientific and technological innovation platforms, systematically sort out the industrial technology chain, increase efforts to attract and cultivate high-level talents, and provide technological support for achieving high-quality development. Intensify institutional innovation efforts, make good use of our own innovative genes, actively explore experience in agricultural technology innovation, innovation and entrepreneurship community construction, and lead the way in reform and innovation in the field of science and technology. We will focus on solving the "last mile" problem of policy implementation, improve the policy of cultivating technology-based enterprises, increase the promotion and implementation of technology policies, and set an example in creating a good innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem. By leveraging the advantages of agricultural technology, we will make better explorations in the construction of agricultural high-tech zones and poverty alleviation through science and technology. The Provincial Department of Science and Technology will provide full support for the construction of Shouguang Agricultural High tech Zone.
During the research period, Tang Bo attended the signing ceremony for the establishment of Shandong Xinsong Artificial Intelligence Research Institute by the Management Center of Shandong Information and Communication Technology Research Institute, Jinan High tech Zone Management Committee, Shenyang Xinsong Robot Automation Co., Ltd., and Weifang University of Technology. He had a discussion with Qu Daokui, President of Shenyang Xinsong Robot Automation Co., Ltd., and expressed his commitment to accelerate the construction and development of the institute, support the institute in playing a role in technological innovation and radiation driving, and contribute to the implementation of the province's eight major development strategies.
