From March 27th to 29th, Wang Xin, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Political Consultative Conference, Deputy Director of the Economic Committee, and Deputy Director of the Provincial Economic and Information Commission, led a team to Jinan and Zaozhuang to conduct a special research on "strengthening the CNC machine tool industry and building a leading high-end CNC machine tool industry base in China". Wang Xiaohong, member of the Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and director of the Automation Research Institute of Jinan University, Gao Ling, member of the Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and chairman of the Provincial Equipment Manufacturing Industry Association, Gao Zhaolin, member of the Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and chairman of Shandong Yikang Group, Wang Guidong, director of the Provincial CNC Machine Tool Industry Technology Center and secretary general of the Shandong Machine Tool General Machinery Industry Association, Shi Zhengjun, deputy director of the Office of the Economic Committee of the Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Chen Kequan, deputy director of the Equipment Industry Department of the Provincial Committee of the Chinese. During the visit, we visited four enterprises including Jinan Second Machine Tool, Otto Automation, Starlight CNC, and Bond Laser in Jinan City. We also visited eight enterprises including Lunan Machine Tool, Weida Heavy Industry, Dachuan Heavy Industry, Shansen CNC, Sanhe Machinery, Pruitt Machine Tool, Yourong Machine Tool, and Dadi Machine Tool in Tengzhou City, Zaozhuang City, as well as two professional institutions including Beihang Machine Tool Innovation Research Institute and National Machine Tool Quality Inspection Center. Three symposiums were held, focusing on industry conditions, enterprise advantages, bottlenecks, and development suggestions, and in-depth exchanges were held with the leaders of 10 machine tool enterprises.

The high-end equipment manufacturing industry, which belongs to the CNC machine tool industry, is one of the "5+5" top ten industries cultivated by the provincial party committee and government. Secretary Liu Jiayi attaches great importance to the development of high-end equipment manufacturing industry and has made important instructions. To implement the requirements of Secretary Liu Jiayi's instructions and promote the transformation of old and new driving forces, it is necessary to strengthen the CNC machine tool industry, make every effort to break through core key technologies, cultivate characteristic industrial clusters, and create new driving forces.
