Innovation is burning, creativity is strong. From December 13th to 14th, the "2025 Shandong Province High end Equipment New Industrialization Innovation and Creativity Competition Finals and Awards Ceremony" jointly hosted by the Shandong Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology and the Shandong Provincial Federation of Trade Unions, and organized by the Shandong Equipment Manufacturing Industry Association and the Shandong Provincial Defense Machinery and Electronics Trade Union, was held in Jinan. More than 150 experts from renowned universities and top state-owned enterprises in the province, leaders of undertaking units, engineers, enterprise managers, and frontline workers from the equipment manufacturing field in the province gathered together to exchange wisdom and speak with achievements, jointly sounding the strong voice of the times for Shandong's high-end equipment manufacturing industry to move towards "new" and climb towards "high". The event is hosted by Wang Qun, Deputy Secretary General of Shandong Equipment Manufacturing Industry Association.
On the morning of the 13th, the final kicked off in a solemn and enthusiastic atmosphere. Yin Xiangqun, a third level researcher at the Shandong Defense Machinery and Electronics Union, pointed out in his speech that the high-end equipment manufacturing industry is the main battlefield for Shandong to promote new industrialization, and the majority of industrial workers are the most active and creative subjects in this transformation. The shortlisted projects fully embody the pragmatic and innovative spirit of "coming from the position and going to the industry". She emphasized that the competition aims to provide a platform for frontline workers to showcase their talents, exchange skills, and realize value. She hopes that all participants will strictly adhere to the bottom line of originality, highlight practical application, abide by the discipline of the competition, and compete with confidence, level, and style.

This final has three major tracks: invention and creation, process innovation, and management innovation. The participating projects have been selected through preliminary rounds, and finally 45 invention and creation contestants, 33 process innovation contestants, and 8 management innovation contestants have been shortlisted for the final list. The judges and contestants were divided into two groups to make presentations and defense simultaneously, covering the frontier directions of intelligent welding robot, plateau hydraulic control system, micron level acoustic structure optimization, industrial Internet energy consumption management platform, etc. There is not only the ultimate pursuit of sound quality for smart wearable devices by the engineering team of GoerTek, but also efficient fixtures designed by experienced small and medium-sized enterprise fitters, as well as the hard core research and development of Shantui Heavy Industry's technical backbone to break through the bottleneck of extreme environmental equipment, and the soft innovation of grassroots managers to build a digital and efficient production system.

After nearly 8 hours of group defense and evaluation, the judges scored a total of 124 first, second, and third prizes based on multiple dimensions such as innovation, practicality, economic benefits, promotional value, and technological maturity.

In the excellent case sharing session, the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) autonomous inspection system for transmission lines developed by Li Bin's team at State Grid Jining Power Supply Company addresses the pain points of high crash risk, poor image quality, and low manual efficiency in traditional inspections. Based on visual recognition and lightweight AI technology, the system achieves intelligent tower finding, adaptive route generation, accurate photography, and automatic defect analysis. The project has won the China Patent Silver Award and the National Grid Science and Technology Progress First Prize, with a direct economic benefit of 127 million yuan. It has been applied in multiple State Grid provincial companies and power generation groups, achieving a leap from manual inspection to AI intelligent brain; Zhang Xun from Qingdao HanCable Co., Ltd. shared the company's intelligent manufacturing collaboration platform covering the entire sales, research and development, and production chain. Its core includes intelligent process design (CAPP), supply chain collaboration (SRM), manufacturing operation (MOM), and AI quality inspection system, which enables automatic calculation of process parameters, supplier risk warning, digital twin simulation of production, and intelligent energy control. Annual energy cost savings of 6 million yuan, forming a replicable intelligent manufacturing solution for the cable industry, and promoting it to 16 subsidiaries.

Amidst cheerful and lively music. More than 100 award-winning contestants took the stage to receive their awards. Among them are highly accomplished senior engineers, as well as ordinary technicians who have been working silently on the front line for decades; There are energetic young talents and experienced senior craftsmen. Each certificate is not only a recognition of their wisdom and sweat, but also a vivid interpretation of the era trend of "glorious labor, noble skills, and great innovation".
