Deep integration of data and reality helps transform the manufacturing industry
In the production workshop of a steel enterprise in Tangshan, Hebei Province, the hot molten iron emits a red light. The intelligent management system transports the molten iron from the ironmaking process to the steelmaking process in one go, ensuring safety and efficiency. In the past, transporting molten iron between these two programs took more than 40 minutes, but with the application of artificial intelligence technology in the management system, the transportation time has been reduced to 15 minutes. The relevant person in charge stated that under the precise control of AI models, the production efficiency and economic benefits of enterprises have been significantly improved. The improvement of quality and efficiency of this enterprise is a vivid reflection of digital transformation. The latest data from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology shows that from January to September, the profits of industrial enterprises above designated size increased by 3.2% year-on-year, the highest cumulative growth rate since August last year; Compared with the period from January to August, it has accelerated by 2.3 percentage points, showing a trend of accelerated recovery. AI technology empowers product research and development, which can accelerate the iteration speed of technology and products; Industrial Internet technology is conducive to realizing digital intelligence in the whole production process, promoting industrial chain coordination, and reshaping the industrial ecology. ”Zhang Zhengang, professor of the School of Business Administration of South China University of Technology and director of Guangzhou Digital Innovation Research Center, said that the integration of big data, industrial Internet, artificial intelligence and other digital intelligence technologies into the manufacturing industry can promote the full process, all elements, and all-round intelligence, and increase benefits for enterprises. China's new industrialization is deepening, and the degree of integration between data and reality continues to deepen. In recent years, various artificial intelligence models in China have accelerated iterative upgrades, empowering "AI+" to take root in various industries. The previously issued 'Opinions on Deepening the Implementation of the' Artificial Intelligence+'Action' proposed to promote the linkage of industrial all factor intelligence and accelerate the landing and application of artificial intelligence in the entire process of design, pilot testing, production, service, and operation. The policy has pointed out the direction for the digital transformation of industries, and many manufacturing enterprises have installed "smart brains" to promote the transformation of production processes towards novelty. In the workshop of a certain equipment manufacturing enterprise in Shanxi, steel ingots are automatically fed into the production line after high-temperature calcination. Through processes such as pre molding, forming, and rolling, a single wheel can be formed in 52 seconds. The relevant person in charge introduced that since the intelligent upgrade of the enterprise, the product defect rate has been significantly reduced, the production efficiency has been significantly improved, and the annual output of wheels has reached 700000 pieces. Empowering with digital intelligence to strengthen the muscles and physique of the manufacturing industry; The trend of "directional graph strength" has led to the emergence of "smart factories" one after another. In a steel company's factory in Liaoning, unmanned moving vehicles shuttle in an orderly manner, robotic arms operate with high precision, and steel plates are automatically transported on the assembly line, resulting in a precise and orderly production process. In the past, workers consumed a lot of physical energy during work, but now only 7 people are needed to operate two production lines, reducing costs by 10% and increasing production efficiency by 20%. The relevant person in charge said that the factory has achieved unmanned operation of the entire process from raw material feeding to finished product outbound, and steel manufacturing is shifting from "physical labor" to "data-driven". Manufacturing is the foundation of the real economy, and digital transformation is driving the manufacturing industry towards high-quality development. Next, how should we further promote the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry, and build a solid foundation for becoming a "manufacturing powerhouse"? Zhu Minghao, Executive Director of the China High end Manufacturing Research Center at Beijing Jiaotong University, gave four suggestions: firstly, factory renovation should be carried out to encourage manufacturing enterprises to upgrade their factories digitally according to their own intelligent manufacturing capabilities; Secondly, we need to apply digital technology to enhance our capabilities, promote large enterprises to establish industry knowledge graphs, and encourage small and medium-sized enterprises to complete data infrastructure construction; We should attach great importance to the integration of industry and education, encourage cooperation between higher education institutions, vocational colleges, and manufacturing enterprises, and cultivate versatile talents; Fourthly, we need to enhance the overall digitalization level of the enterprise, and improve the digital knowledge reserve of employees through continuing education, enterprise training, and other means.
