The Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, Provincial Development and Reform Commission, and Provincial Market Supervision Administration recently jointly issued the "Management Measures for the Selection of Energy Efficiency 'Leaders' in Key Industries in Shandong Province". Shandong will conduct an annual recognition of energy efficiency' leaders' in key industries, widely promote advanced experience through various forms, and drive the overall improvement of energy utilization efficiency in the entire industry. Enterprises that have been awarded the title of "Energy Efficiency Leader" in key industries in Shandong Province will be given priority in recommending and applying for national energy efficiency "Leader" and provincial-level green manufacturing demonstration benchmark units. Key industry energy efficiency "leaders" refer to enterprises engaged in production and operation activities within Shandong Province, whose main processes and unit product energy consumption indicators within the same comparable range have reached the advanced value of the corresponding national mandatory energy consumption quota standards and energy efficiency benchmark levels, and have continuously improved energy utilization efficiency. The key industries mainly include petrochemical, steel, non-ferrous metals, building materials, light industry, textile and other industries, specifically including 38 sub sectors such as crude oil processing, coal to coke, coal to olefin, etc. The Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, together with the Provincial Development and Reform Commission and the Provincial Market Supervision Administration, will organize experts to review the application materials recommended by each city, and select the list of key industry energy efficiency "leaders" in Shandong Province based on merit.
