China now has all the industrial categories in the United Nations Industrial Classification, including 41 major categories and 666 minor categories;

Among the 500 industrial varieties in the world, over 40% of our country's product output ranks first in the world;

In 2023, the total industrial added value of our country will approach 40 trillion yuan, approximately 39.9 trillion yuan, accounting for 31.7% of GDP;

Our country's manufacturing industry accounts for over 30% of the global total, ranking first in the world for 14 consecutive years;

Our country has built the world's largest and technologically advanced communication network infrastructure, with 3.38 million 5G base stations, achieving gigabit connectivity in cities, 5G connectivity in counties, and broadband connectivity in villages.

Promote artificial intelligence to empower new industrialization

Jin Zhuanglong stated that China is still in a critical period of transitioning from being large to strong and overcoming obstacles, with many shortcomings and weaknesses to be addressed. He pointed out that we must make every effort to maintain the positive trend of industrial economic recovery, promote the high-quality action of key manufacturing industry chains, accelerate the construction of a modern industrial system with advanced manufacturing as the backbone, and focus on enhancing the technological innovation capability of industries.

Traditional industries cannot be simply withdrawn as low-end industries. We need to make them 'old trees sprout new shoots'. Advantageous industries need to be consolidated and improved, maintain their competitive advantages and leading position, and continue to build a group of Chinese manufacturing brands with international influence. Jin Zhuanglong also pointed out that we need to give full play to the main role of enterprises in innovation. What everyone is generally concerned about is the deep integration of technological innovation and industrial innovation. This is a big article. There are 178 high-tech zones and 465000 national high-tech enterprises in our country. To play their role well, we need to develop high technology, achieve industrialization, and accelerate the formation of new quality productive forces.

He stated that in promoting the deep integration of informatization and industrialization, the focus should be on two aspects.

On one hand, we need to consolidate and enhance the competitive advantage and leading position of the information and communication industry, and moderately advance the construction of information facilities such as 5G and computing power. We will continue to promote the large-scale application of industrial Internet and promote 5G to enable "thousands of industries". At the same time, we need to strengthen the evolution of 5G, support the development of 5G-A, and increase our research and development efforts in 6G technology. On the other hand, we need to promote the digitalization, networking, and intelligent development of the manufacturing industry. One is to promote the digital transformation of the manufacturing industry, which we need to classify and carry out the 'Artificial Intelligence+' action to empower new industrialization with artificial intelligence

Jin Zhuanglong introduced that up to now, my country has cultivated 124000 specialized and special new small and medium-sized enterprises, of which 12000 are specialized and special new "little giant" enterprises. "These enterprises have played an important role in the chain extension chain."

"We must introduce policies and measures to promote the high-quality development of specialized and special new small and medium-sized enterprises, and continue to polish the gold-lettered signboard of'specialized and special new', so that it is'genuine and affordable '." Jin Zhuanglong said that we must promote the implementation of the special action for the digital empowerment of small and medium-sized enterprises, and further promote the pilot work of the digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises. The central government has supported more than 40000 small and medium-sized enterprises to implement digital transformation for three consecutive years.

In terms of excellent environment, we should fully implement the law on the promotion of small and medium-sized enterprises and implement the regulations on ensuring the payment of funds for small and medium-sized enterprises. At the same time, it is also necessary to strengthen financial support to ensure that small and medium-sized enterprises use energy, employment, number of people, and land.

In terms of strengthening services, we will continue to improve the public service system for small and medium-sized enterprises, and work with relevant departments to carry out a series of activities to serve small and medium-sized enterprises. "We also have a national SME development fund, which must play a good role to support SMEs in entrepreneurship, innovation and creativity."

In terms of promoting integration, it is necessary to further play the leading role of chain main enterprises and allow more small and medium-sized enterprises to participate in the development of key industrial chains; the government must build a docking platform to promote the integration and development of large and medium-sized enterprises.

"This year we will focus on building about 100 characteristic industrial clusters for small and medium-sized enterprises. Now there are 200." Jin Zhuanglong said.
