Ministry of Industry and Information Technology: More than 2000 "5G+Industrial Internet" projects are under construction nationwide
On February 28th, the State Council Information Office held a press conference to introduce the relevant situation of promoting the smooth operation and upgrading of industry and information technology.

Tian Yulong stated that digital transformation is a compulsory course for enhancing and developing the competitiveness of enterprises. Currently, the digital transformation of China's manufacturing industry is showing an accelerated development trend, and innovation activities are showing a good trend.
Firstly, the foundation of digital transformation is constantly being consolidated.Through the implementation of the industrial Internet innovation and development project, more than 150 large-scale industrial Internet platforms have been cultivated, and more than 1.6 million industrial enterprises have been served by the platform, providing strong support for digital transformation.
The second is the continuous expansion of the scope of transformation.5G、 New generation information technologies such as big data, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence are accelerating their integration and penetration into the manufacturing industry, especially in industrial sectors such as steel, automotive, equipment, electronics, and petrochemicals, where integration and cross innovation continue to deepen. There are more than 2000 "5G+Industrial Internet" projects under construction nationwide.
The third is the continuous improvement of the degree of transformation.The CNC rate of key processes in industrial enterprises above designated size has reached 55.3%, and the penetration rate of digital R&D tools has reached 74.7%. The digital new formats and models are constantly developing and innovating, and the proportion of enterprises engaged in networked collaboration and service-oriented manufacturing has reached 38.8% and 29.6% respectively. The role of enterprises using networking and digitization to improve quality, efficiency, and effectiveness is very obvious, and industrial competitiveness has been significantly enhanced.
For the next step of the work plan, Tian Yulong stated that he will continue the previous work and focus on three aspects:
One is to highlight key points and enhance the digital capabilities of enterprises.Enterprises are the main body of digital transformation and digital transformation. Currently, overall, the digital capabilities of enterprises are not sufficient, which requires us to further promote, support, and sustain them. We will summarize and promote a batch of good technologies and practices, and release relevant guidelines and guidance by industry and field. Cultivate a group of high-quality system solution providers to provide practical and effective typical cases and methods for enterprises. At the same time, support industry leaders to build digital empowerment platforms for the development of small and medium-sized enterprises, and combine the optimization of industrial and supply chains to leverage the role of digital transformation. We will work with relevant parties to provide digital transformation services to no less than 100000 small and medium-sized enterprises by the end of this year, promoting the cloud migration of their businesses.
The second is to expand applications and enrich product supply.We will continue to implement the innovative development of industrial Internet, explore a number of typical application scenarios of "5G+industrial Internet", and create a number of 5G fully connected factory benchmarks. Accelerate the industrial Internet platform to enter bases, parks and industrial clusters, connect thousands of industries, and empower thousands of enterprises and parks.
The third is to build an ecosystem and optimize the digital transformation environment.This is a very important foundation for our digital transformation. We need to further improve the standard system for transformation. We need to improve the talent training system for the transformation of the manufacturing industry, further deepen the integration of industry and education, and promote school enterprise cooperation. At the same time, by collaborating with financial institutions to enrich digital transformation financial products, the cost of enterprise digital transformation can be further reduced. It is very important to strengthen data security in digital transformation. We will actively cultivate the data element market and support the construction of data exchanges in Beijing and Shanghai. Strengthen industry data security supervision, develop important data catalogs, and enhance protection.
