In order to further deepen the collaborative cooperation between Shandong Province and important economic provinces in the Yellow River Basin and Yangtze River Delta region in the equipment manufacturing industry chain, supply chain, and innovation chain, and promote cross provincial and cross basin resource complementarity and industrial integration, Su Hongxing, Secretary General of Shandong Equipment Manufacturing Association, and his delegation recently went to Jiangsu Machinery Industry Association and Henan Equipment Manufacturing Association for benchmarking learning and exchange.
Jiangsu, Shandong, and Henan, as the top six provinces in China's economy, have a total GDP of over 30 trillion yuan, of which the equipment manufacturing industry has a GDP of over 10 trillion yuan. They bear the important responsibility and mission of "economic provinces should have greater responsibility in implementing major national development strategies".
During the discussion and exchange, Chen Zhonghua, Secretary General of Jiangsu Machinery Industry Association, and Zhang Hua, Executive Vice President and Secretary General of Henan Equipment Manufacturing Industry Association, respectively introduced in detail the development situation of Jiangsu and Henan associations, as well as the main achievements and successful work experience in recent years. They systematically summarized the development situation and advantageous industries of equipment manufacturing industry in Jiangsu and Henan, as well as the development situation of backbone enterprises. Together with Su Hongxing and his delegation, they discussed how to better play the supporting role of equipment manufacturing industry in the "15th Five Year Plan" and how to promote inter provincial cooperation in the Yangtze River Delta and Yellow River Basin, and cooperation and win-win among sister associations, and received positive feedback.

In 2024, the GDP will reach 13.7 trillion yuan, an increase of 5.8%, ranking first in the country in terms of GDP growth. Henan Province has a complete industrial system and abundant human resources, forming trillion level industrial clusters such as equipment manufacturing, food processing, and new materials. It is in a leading position in the fields of power equipment, mining machinery, lifting equipment, shield tunneling equipment, and agricultural machinery equipment in China. In 2024, the annual gross domestic product will reach 6.36 trillion yuan, with a growth rate of 5.1%, ranking sixth in the country. In recent years, Henan has taken high-quality development of manufacturing industry as its main direction, led by technological innovation, and mobilized the whole province to promote new industrialization. It has cultivated 414 national level specialized, refined, and new "little giant" enterprises, 51 manufacturing "single champion" enterprises, 28000 industrial enterprises above designated size, 13000 high-tech enterprises, 29000 technology-based small and medium-sized enterprises, and super hard material clusters and modern agricultural machinery and equipment clusters have been rated as national advanced manufacturing clusters.
Shandong undertakes the important task of "striving to become an important economic growth pole in the northern region". Since the 14th Five Year Plan, the gross domestic product of Shandong has continuously surpassed two trillion yuan steps. In 2024, the province will achieve a regional gross domestic product of 9.86 trillion yuan, an increase of 5.7%, and the GDP is expected to exceed 10 trillion yuan by 2025. The inter provincial brotherhood association exchange and learning this time is an active exploration of Shandong Province's equipment manufacturing industry's active integration into the "National Yellow River Basin Strategy" and "Strengthening the Yangtze River Delta Region" collaborative linkage. The Lu Su and Lu Yu associations have reached consensus in expert database construction, industry scientific and technological innovation, market development, and other aspects. They have also obtained important strategic support in "deeply integrating into the integrated development strategy of the Yangtze River Delta" and "preparing to establish the Yellow River Basin Equipment Manufacturing Industry Alliance". In the next step, the association will strengthen major strategic coordination and linkage with the Yangtze River Delta region, Yellow River Basin and other regions, and help our province's equipment manufacturing enterprises provide deeper assistance in scientific and technological innovation, talent innovation, market expansion and other aspects.
