The founding conference of the Yellow River Basin Ecological Protection and High Quality Development Highway Society Alliance was successfully held

On June 25th, the founding conference of the Yellow River Basin Ecological Protection and High quality Development Highway Society Alliance was successfully held in Jinan. As the initiating unit, the Shandong Highway Society, together with the Highway Societies of Qinghai Province, Sichuan Province, Gansu Province, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Shaanxi Province, Shaanxi Province, and Henan Province, gathered in Jinan, Shandong to witness the establishment of the Yellow River Basin Ecological Protection and High quality Development Highway Society Alliance with more than 230 scientific and technological workers. Gao Ling, President of Shandong Equipment Manufacturing Industry Association, and Su Hongxing, Secretary General, were invited to participate in this event.

The Yellow River Basin has played a very important role in China's economic and social development and ecological security since ancient times. The establishment of the alliance can not only timely promote the transformation of technological achievements in the transportation industry, but also bring important opportunities for Shandong to strengthen regional cooperation and share high-quality resources. Thus, it will help Shandong make greater contributions to the development of the Yellow River Ecological Economic Belt and even the whole country.

Zou Guangde, Secretary of the Party Group and Vice Chairman of Shandong Association for Science and Technology, Gao Hongyan, Deputy Director of Shandong Provincial Department of Transportation, and Sun Fuchun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Director, and General Manager of Shandong Expressway Group, respectively delivered speeches to the conference and congratulated the establishment of the alliance.

Weng Mengyong, president of China Highway Society, Zhou Wei, former chief engineer of the Ministry of Transport, Ling Wen, academician of the CAE Member, and chairman of Shandong Association for Science and Technology, respectively delivered keynote reports to the conference entitled "Thoughts on Digital Transformation of Highway Traffic", "Promoting high-quality development of highway economy with new quality productivity", and "high-quality sustainable development of highways - exploration and practice", which deeply analyzed the current path of diversified development of transportation and opened up the idea of high-quality sustainable development of highways.

The conference also presented the 2023 Shandong Highway Society Science and Technology Award, encouraging transportation technology workers to fully devote themselves to the construction of the Shandong Demonstration Zone, a transportation powerhouse, and contribute their efforts to the blueprint of the great transportation.
