Shandong Province encourages enterprises to take advantage of Hong Kong's business environment and professional services, accelerate the pace of "going global", and expand overseas markets.

The theme of this symposium is "Utilizing the Hong Kong Platform for Win Win Cooperation between Shandong and Hong Kong", aiming to further strengthen economic and trade cooperation between Shandong and Hong Kong, and encourage Shandong enterprises to leverage Hong Kong's advantages to explore overseas markets.

Hong Kong is an important economic and trade partner of Shandong, and many Shandong enterprises such as Haier, Hisense, Weichai have taken advantage of Hong Kong to go global. As of the end of June this year, Shandong has invested in 882 projects in Hong Kong, and there are 51 Shandong companies listed in Hong Kong. In recent years, both sides have adhered to the concept of win-win cooperation, jointly built a platform for cooperation and exchange, established a high-level promotion mechanism, and consolidated and improved the strategic cooperation relationship.

Shandong supports qualified Shandong enterprises to invest, develop, list, and issue bonds in Hong Kong, conduct cross-border mergers and acquisitions through Hong Kong platforms, work together to "go global", strengthen the global development perspective, and promote the economic and trade cooperation between Shandong and Hong Kong to a new level.

Jiang Xueli, Assistant Director General of the Investment Promotion Agency of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, said that Hong Kong plays an important role in the professional service industry, finance, shipping, trade center and other fields. "Hong Kong is also the main source of foreign investment in Shandong Province, and Shandong enterprises can use Hong Kong's financial and professional service advantages for financing and mergers and acquisitions activities.

Hong Kong provides services such as accounting and taxation, law, construction engineering design, engineering management and planning, talent training, and mediation and arbitration, which can promote and develop with Shandong Province in many aspects such as upgrading and transformation of manufacturing industry, introduction of emerging industries, service industry and innovative development, and active integration into the "the Belt and Road" initiative.
