Yantai City launches construction of automobile lightweight center
Recently, the signing ceremony of the Automotive Lightweight Center of the National Lightweight Material Forming Technology and Equipment Innovation Center was held in Yantai. The Yantai Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, the High tech Zone Management Committee, and Beijing Jike Guochuang Lightweight Science Research Institute Co., Ltd. jointly signed a cooperation agreement to officially launch the construction of the "Automotive Lightweight Center".
The cooperation agreement signed this time is within the framework of the strategic cooperation agreement between the Shandong Provincial Government and the General Institute of Mechanical Science, as well as the strategic cooperation agreement between the Municipal Government and the Institute of Lightweight Chemicals. The Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, the High tech Zone, and the Institute of Lightweight Chemicals will be based on the solid foundation of Yantai's automotive and raw material industries, relying on the technological and talent advantages of the Institute of Lightweight Chemicals in lightweight new materials, new processes, new equipment, etc., taking the research and development, production, and application of lightweight new materials for automobiles as a breakthrough point, actively promoting the landing and transformation of research achievements in the fields of green manufacturing, intelligent manufacturing, and new materials in our city through the joint construction of research institutions, technical service platforms, etc., and jointly promoting the cooperation between government, industry, academia, research, and application, cultivating lightweight new materials, components, and other fields.
