Zhang Gong and Liu Jiayi attend the opening ceremony of the 2021 Qingdao International Standardization Conference
On the morning of July 28th, the 2021 Qingdao International Standardization Conference, jointly organized by the Shandong Provincial Government and the State Administration for Market Regulation (Standardization Committee), opened at the Qingdao International Convention Center. Zhang Gong, Director of the State Administration for Market Regulation, and Liu Jiayi, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches.

刘家义在致辞时说，近年来，山东深入学习贯彻习近平主席重要指示要求，大力实施标准化战略，开展标准化综合改革试点，标准化工作取得积极进展和成效。立足新发展阶段，贯彻新发展理念，服务和融入新发展格局，更加需要标准化引领。我们要更加积极地实施标准化战略，全面推动标准化创新发展，深化国际标准化合作，开拓创新、开放、合作、共赢的标准化发展新局面。要聚焦高质量发展，大力推动产业发展标准化；聚焦城乡协调发展，大力推动城乡融合标准化；聚焦经济绿色转型，大力推动生态文明标准化；聚焦保障改善民生，大力推动公共服务标准化；聚焦社会和谐稳定，大力推动社会治理标准化。我们将不断健全政策体系，优化法治环境，强化服务保障，加大宣传推广，大力推动标准化与可持续化，更好服务和融入新发展格局，以标准引领提升助力新时代现代化强省建设，为构建人类命运共同体作出山东贡献。
Eduard Enjolog, President of the International Organization for Standardization, Shu Yinbiao, President of the International Electrotechnical Commission, Li Zai, Director of the International Telecommunication Union's Telecommunications Standards Office, Wen Kangnong, Representative of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations in China, Elena Santiago, Secretary General of the European Committee for Standardization and the European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization, and Christophe Winterhardt, President of the German National Standardization Agency, delivered video speeches.
The opening ceremony also held a signing ceremony for the cooperation agreement between the People's Government of Shandong Province and the National Standardization Management Committee.
The theme of this conference is "standards and sustainable development", including a theme forum, four thematic sub conferences including "standardization supports sustainable development of modern agriculture", "standardization and digital transformation of urban governance", "standardization talent training", "standardization and industrial Internet and low-carbon transformation", and a series of standardization activities, aimed at creating a high-energy foreign exchange and cooperation platform, further expanding international standards exchange and mutual learning, and exploring the role of international standards in improving global governance and promoting sustainable development.
The opening ceremony will be held in a combination of online and offline methods. Tian Shihong, Deputy Director of the State Administration for Market Regulation and Director of the National Standardization Management Committee, Wang Shujian, Liu Qiang, Li Meng, and Zhao Haozhi, leaders of the province and Qingdao city, officials in charge of relevant departments and bureaus of relevant national ministries and commissions, officials in charge of relevant departments and bureaus of the province and various cities, representatives of domestic and foreign standardization organizations, standardization experts from the business community, experts and scholars from universities and research institutions, and others will attend the opening ceremony.
