On the morning of the 16th, a special press conference was held in Beijing to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, with the theme of "New Era, New Momentum, New Shandong", organized by the State Council Information Office. Liu Jiayi said in his press release that Shandong is one of the important birthplaces of Chinese civilization and one of the provinces where the CPC first established its party organization. Over the past 70 years, under the strong leadership of the Party Central Committee, Shandong has always kept pace with the times and walked with the motherland, and its economic and social development has undergone earth shaking changes. Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, General Secretary Xi Jinping has visited Shandong three times and made a series of important instructions, requiring Shandong to "take the lead in the process of building a moderately prosperous society in all respects, take the lead in the new journey of socialist modernization construction, and comprehensively open up a new situation in the construction of a modern and strong province in the new era". We have kept in mind the instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping, conducted in-depth research and systematic planning, and formed an overall development pattern guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, with the goal of "leading the way and comprehensively creating", supported by eight development strategies including the transformation of old and new driving forces, rural revitalization, strong maritime province, three major battles, military civilian integration, building a new highland for opening up to the outside world, regional coordinated development, and major infrastructure construction, with comprehensive deepening of reform as the guarantee, and comprehensive strict governance of the Party as the leadership.
Liu Jiayi said, 70 years of wind and rain, 70 years of spring and autumn. Shandong's 70 years of brilliant achievements fully demonstrate the political advantages of the leadership of the CPC and the great superiority of the socialist system with Chinese characteristics. We must unite more closely around the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core, adhere to the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, firmly establish the "four consciousnesses", strengthen the "four confidences", resolutely uphold the "two safeguards", never forget our original aspiration and mission, forge ahead, work solidly, bravely do the "mountain climbing work" of Mount Tai in the new era, stimulate new driving forces for development in the new era, continuously strive towards the goal of "leading the way and comprehensively creating", and welcome the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China with outstanding achievements.
