Recently, Qingdao and Huawei have jointly established a high-tech industrial cluster represented by ultra high definition video, virtual reality, and artificial intelligence, achieving phased results. Wang Qingxian, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, had a discussion and exchange with Yang Ruikai, Vice President of Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. Qingdao has a good industrial foundation and distinct first mover advantage. In the early stage, in order to accelerate the comprehensive strategic cooperation between Qingdao and Huawei, the Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology worked closely with Huawei to hold multi-level symposiums including government, enterprises, universities, research institutes, and third-party organizations; In response to the current development status of the information technology industry, visits and on-site investigations were conducted, forming a forward-looking, leading, and operable industrial development plan, laying a solid foundation for the formulation of the next action plan. In terms of specific projects, on June 19th, Huawei signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Qingdao Port Group to carry out in-depth cooperation in smart ports, 5G, big data, infrastructure and other areas; Projects such as Jiaozhou Innovation Center, Jimo Blue Valley Innovation Center, and Huawei Smart Cloud Town in the High tech Zone have been successively implemented.
