The 2019 Shandong New Materials Industry Development Forum was successfully held

On June 17th, the 2019 Shandong Province Innovation Driven Development Academician Symposium on New Materials and Building New Momentum was held at Shandong Building, with the theme of "Intelligent Gathering of New Materials, Creating New Momentum". More than 200 academicians and experts from the field of new materials, members of the provincial new materials industry special team, relevant officials from various city industrial and information technology bureaus, representatives of new materials enterprises, scientific research institutions, and investment and financing institutions were invited to attend. Wang Xiao, Deputy Director of the Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, delivered a speech, and Liang Zhenjiang, Second level Inspector of the Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, presided over the forum.

Wang Xiao mentioned that Shandong attaches great importance to the development of the new materials industry, continuously improves the construction of the "6 Ones" coordinated promotion system, constantly promotes collaborative innovation, and has emerged a group of new materials leading backbone enterprises with core competitiveness at home and abroad, cultivating a group of modern characteristic advantage industry clusters. The key to developing new materials lies in talent and innovation. Academicians are precious assets of the country, pride of the people, and glory of the nation. In the critical period of high-quality development of Shandong's new materials industry, it is even more necessary for academicians to play an innovative leading role, plan and strategize for the development of Shandong's new materials industry, and provide more powerful support for scientific and technological innovation. Shandong will work with utmost sincerity to create an efficient government ecology, a good business ecology, and a high-quality innovation environment for all academicians, ensuring that more new technologies and achievements are transformed and implemented in Shandong, and promoting the high-quality development of the new materials industry.

Five academicians and experts, including Academician Wang Guodong of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Academician Liu Weimin of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Academician Wen Xueyou of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Academician Zhou Fengjun of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and President Wei Di, representative of the team of Academicians Liu Zhongfan of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, made speeches, in-depth discussions and exchanges around the development trend of new materials and hot spot issues, and made suggestions. At this forum, 27 technologically advanced and high-end application new material industry projects were promoted, and 9 academician cooperation projects were signed on site with a signing amount of about 6.3 billion yuan, focusing on cutting-edge fields such as high-performance fibers and composite materials, advanced chemical materials, graphene, etc., which will help promote the high-quality development of Shandong's new material industry.
