In what aspects does China's 5G have competitive advantages, and is the commercial construction of 5G open to foreign enterprises? China has initially established a competitive advantage in 5G technology, standards, and other areas
Currently, global 5G is entering a critical period of commercial deployment. By combining independent innovation with open cooperation, China's 5G industry has established a competitive advantage.
Gong Daning said that in terms of technical standards, the concept, application scenarios, and technical indicators of 5G advocated by China have been included in the definition of 5G by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). Key technologies proposed by Chinese enterprises, such as flexible system design, polarization codes, large-scale antennas, and new network architectures, have become the focus of international standards.
As of May 2019, a total of 28 companies worldwide have declared necessary patents for 5G standards, with Chinese companies accounting for over 30% of the total, ranking first.
In terms of industrial development, China has taken the lead in launching 5G technology research and development trials, accelerating the process of 5G equipment research and industrialization. At present, China's 5G mid-range system equipment, terminal chips, and smartphones are in the top tier of the global industry.
The reporter previously learned from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology that with the joint efforts of all parties in the industry, 5G technology and products are becoming increasingly mature, and the main links of the industry chain have basically reached the commercial level, meeting the conditions for commercial deployment.

龚达宁说，我国一直秉持开放、包容、合作、共赢的理念，与全球产业界携手推进5G发展。2013年，我国成立了IMT-2020（5G）推进组，爱立信、诺基亚、高通、英特尔、罗德与施瓦茨等多家知名国外企业都是推进组成员单位。基于推进组平台，国内外企业联合开展技术研究、技术试验和产品测试验证，共同制定技术规范和测试规范，并积极参与测试。
在技术试验阶段，诺基亚、爱立信、高通、英特尔等多家国外企业已深度参与。
全球系统设备、芯片、终端、测试仪表等企业相互合作、共同促进，为加快我国5G产业链的发展成熟起到了重要作用。
欢迎国外企业积极参与我国5G网络建设和应用推广
龚达宁说，全球移动通信产业发展已经形成“你中有我、我中有你”的格局，各国企业通力合作、互利共赢。4G时代，多家国外企业即已参与我国移动通信市场，并与我国电信运营企业建立了良好的合作关系，是我国移动通信市场的重要组成部分，为我国移动通信产业发展做出了重要贡献。
近期，工业和信息化部将发放5G商用牌照，我国将正式进入5G商用元年。
龚达宁说，我们将一如既往地欢迎国外企业积极参与我国5G网络建设和应用推广，继续深化合作，共谋5G发展和创新，共同分享我国5G发展成果。
