The 16th China International Fair Press Conference was held in Beijing
On May 20, 2019, the press conference of the 16th China International Small and Medium Enterprises Expo (referred to as the "16th China International Fair") was held in Beijing. Wang Jiangping, Deputy Director of the Organizing Committee of the China International Import Expo and Deputy Minister of Industry and Information Technology, Qin Weizhong, Vice Governor of Guangdong Province, Bo Yumin, Deputy Director General of the State Administration for Market Regulation, Shi Zhiguang, Ambassador of the Malaysian Embassy in China, and Ma Jian, Deputy Representative of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization in Beijing, attended the meeting.
Wang Jiangping pointed out that the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council attach great importance to and support the development of small and medium-sized enterprises. The Guiding Opinions on Promoting the Healthy Development of Small and Medium sized Enterprises issued by the State Council in mid April this year clearly stated the need to continue to host the China International Fair for Trade and Industry. This year marks the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and a crucial year for achieving the first centenary goal of building a moderately prosperous society in all respects. This year's China International Fair will start from a new starting point, fully implementing the important speech and instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping on supporting the development of private enterprises and small and medium-sized enterprises, and taking the success of the China International Fair as an important measure to implement the central government's support for the development of small and medium-sized enterprises.
The 16th China International Fair is jointly hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the State Administration for Market Regulation, and the People's Government of Guangdong Province, with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization and Malaysia as guest of honor. With the theme of "Intelligence, Wisdom, Intelligent Manufacturing, Energy Conservation", it will be held from June 24-27, 2019 at the China Import and Export Fair Exhibition Hall.
At present, a total of 2533 exhibition spaces have been confirmed for domestic and overseas theme exhibitions, exceeding the exhibition plan. Among them, each province, autonomous region, and city has confirmed a total of 1283 booths in the "Specialized, Refined, Unique, and New" exhibition area and the innovation service exhibition area, 1028 booths in the "Specialized, Refined, Unique, and New" exhibition area, and 255 booths in the innovation service exhibition area; 200 cross-border e-commerce exhibitions; The overseas themed exhibition has confirmed 1050 exhibition spaces, with a total of 31 international organizations and countries (regions) confirmed to participate.
The 16th China International Fair will follow the exhibition concept of "solving problems, expanding markets, and gathering popularity", and further enrich and improve the comprehensive service functions and connotations of the exhibition in response to the difficulties, pain points, and bottlenecks faced by small and medium-sized enterprises. For the first time, the "Specialized, Refined, Unique and New" and innovative service exhibition areas have been established to enhance the sense of achievement for small and medium-sized enterprises participating in exhibitions and lead their high-quality development. The preferred industry business association holds industry product supply and demand docking activities, organizing targeted precise docking between buyers and exhibitors to enhance the effectiveness of the exhibition. Create an online China International Fair, open online display functions, gradually realize online transactions, and attract more small and medium-sized enterprises to participate in the exhibition.
At the same time, multiple special events will be held, including the SME Summit Forum, SME Cross border Matchmaking and Matchmaking Conference, SME Integration Development Project Matchmaking, SME Investment and Financing Forum and Investment Roadshow, to exchange and showcase the latest technological achievements and future development trends of emerging industries, guide the integrated development of SMEs, and connect with international innovation resources.
