On May 20th, Qilu Network reported that from May 13th to 17th, the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Government held a promotion meeting for the conversion of new and old kinetic energy projects in the province, as well as a commendation conference for the "double recruitment and double introduction" work, and observed key projects in six cities including Liaocheng, Dezhou, Binzhou, Dongying, Zibo, and Jinan.

A batch of large projects exceeding 10 billion and 5 billion have successively landed, a batch of new technologies, new industries, new formats, and new models are accelerating their growth, a batch of institutional innovation achievements continue to release dividends, a batch of major platforms are accelerating their construction, and a batch of high-end talents are accelerating their gathering. Through observation and on-site experience of changes in various cities, the "Shandong Opportunity" has become increasingly attractive, and "settling in Shandong" has become the best choice for more well-known enterprises at home and abroad.

The unremitting exploration of the transformation of old and new driving forces over the past year is a vivid practice of deeply implementing the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech and instructions during his inspection of Shandong. We firmly adhere to the goal of "being at the forefront and comprehensively pioneering", plan and vigorously promote the eight major development strategies, and have initially charted a high-quality development path that is in line with Shandong's actual situation.

After the observation meeting, Liu Jiayi, the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, pointed out in his speech that Shandong's new and old driving forces have shifted to the most "exciting" time. Although the pattern of "four new" economy leading the future has emerged, it will take time for new driving forces to truly dominate development. The pain of transformation has intensified, and investment pressure has sharply increased.

To continue accelerating the conversion of old and new kinetic energy, we must dare to take risks and try. People who walk in the footsteps of others will never leave their own footprints, let alone be at the forefront. The Shandong Provincial Party Committee requires that we encourage bold exploration and experimentation. Leaders and cadres should be open-minded, allowing for reform and trial and error. They should not easily show a yellow card for grassroots initiatives and new things. They should give new things an opportunity for self growth, and show a yellow card for practices such as "building houses inside the house" and "erecting beams under the beam", as well as for those self imposed and inappropriate rules and regulations.
