Zhou Shengbao, who has passed the age of 40, has been working as a fitter in the workshop for 24 years. From a young elementary school student to a senior class monitor leading more than 30 people, he was leading workers to debug an important component of the shield tunneling machine - the pipe hoisting machine. Lao Zhou said that in the eyes of the entire shield tunneling machine, the structure of the pipe segment hoisting machine may seem small, but its importance cannot be underestimated. Its function is to transport the curved pipe segments for tunnel reinforcement and reinforce the excavated tunnel. The gears need to mesh with the chain in order for the car to move normally. This requires the fitter to gradually adjust the four fixing screws. Seemingly simple operation actually requires significant clearance values between gears and chains. Under normal circumstances, it takes more than half an hour to adjust a pipe hoisting machine, but in Lao Zhou's hands, it takes more than 10 minutes to complete the adjustment and meet the requirement of four screw points being completely horizontal.
Lao Zhou said that in order to become a qualified fitter, in addition to having proficient operating skills, the most important thing is to know how to read drawings. Only in this way can we have a clear idea when working. It is precisely because of years of work experience and proficient operating skills that Lao Zhou stands out among many fitters. In 2016, Jinan Heavy Industry began the production and processing of shield machines, and Lao Zhou became the leader of the shield machine team, leading workers to participate in the production of shield machines. Since 2016, their team has participated in the assembly of 38 shield tunneling machines, maintained 6 old machines, and successfully completed the production task of shield tunneling machines signed by the company. With the development of the mechanical processing industry market, competition is becoming increasingly fierce. Lao Zhou has long realized this.
