The China International Machinery and Electrical Products Expo (referred to as the Machinery Expo) is a national and international equipment manufacturing expo approved by the State Council. It is the largest and most influential mechanical and electrical expo in the central and western regions of China. Over the past 17 years, the accumulated exhibition area of the China International Machinery Industry Expo has reached60万平方米，吸引近55万名制造业专业观众前来参观、咨询、采购，被誉为“中国中西部地区制造业第一展”。机博会题材特色鲜明，贸易内容丰富，在国内外机电制造业内引起了强烈反响，已成为湖北、中部走向世界的重要舞台，成为推动中部与国际接轨、沟通的重要桥粱和纽带。

locational advantage——Wuhan is the largest city in the central and western regions of China, a national historical and cultural city, an industrial hub and economic center of central China, an important comprehensive transportation hub in the country, and is known as the "thoroughfare of nine provinces". It has obvious advantages in radiating to multiple provinces such as Hubei, Henan, Jiangxi, Anhui, Hunan, Chongqing, and the upper, middle, and lower reaches of the Yangtze River.
