Shandong and Bavaria, Germany celebrate 30th anniversary of friendly provinces and states in Jinan _ Association News _ News Center

On May 11th, Shandong Province and the German state of Bavaria jointly celebrated the 30th anniversary of their friendly relationship in Jinan, Shandong Province, and negotiated to seek deeper cooperation in advanced manufacturing, equipment manufacturing, service industry, direct air routes, and other areas. Ms. Gao Ling, member of the Shandong Provincial Political Consultative Conference and President of the Shandong Equipment Manufacturing Industry Association, was invited to participate in the celebration event.

Shandong and Germany have frequent economic and trade exchanges. As of the end of March 2017, there were 775 German investment enterprises in Shandong, with actual use of German capital exceeding 2.85 billion US dollars. Shandong has invested in 113 German companies with a total investment of 2.98 billion US dollars.

Gong Zheng, the Governor of Shandong Province, stated at the Shandong Bavaria Work Conference that at the age of thirty, Shandong and Bavaria have established a friendly province and state, and the two sides have achieved fruitful cooperation results in economy, trade, education, culture, science and technology, environmental protection and urban construction. At present, Shandong is taking the acceleration of the transformation of old and new driving forces as a major project for the province's economic development. It aims to achieve the industrial intelligence of traditional industries, the intelligent industrialization of emerging industries, the rapid integration of industries, and the high-end branding through new technologies, new industries, new models, and new formats. The promotion of "Four New and Four Modernizations" will open up space and provide opportunities for deep cooperation between the two provinces and states.

Gong Zheng put forward suggestions, hoping that in the future, the two provinces and states will further strengthen high-level visits, deepen cooperation consensus, lead cooperation direction, promote city county level docking and cooperation, promote policy connectivity, industry docking, production capacity cooperation, and cultural mutual learning. Bavaria is at the forefront of implementing Industry 4.0 and the German Digital 2025 strategy. Made in China 2025 and Made in Germany are a perfect match, and both sides will further strengthen cooperation in the field of advanced manufacturing in the future. Germany is the largest source of investment for Shandong in mainland Europe, and also the largest destination for Shandong's investment in Europe. We hope that both sides will continue to expand two-way investment, improve the layout of two-way investment, and expand their fields to jointly develop third-party markets.

Bavarian State Governor Zechoff, who led a delegation to visit, stated that both sides are facing challenges in globalization, digitization, climate, and other areaswhichOn the one hand, we can rely on our own strength to cope, and we should join hands to tackle it together. This year, celebrations for the 30th anniversary of friendly provinces and states will be held in Bavaria and Shandong, indicating that the partnership between the two sides is very active and has penetrated into various fields. Airbus Helicopters will soon set up an assembly line for the twin engine light helicopter H135 in Qingdao, which fully demonstrates the willingness of both parties to cooperate. In the future, Bavaria is willing to promote the full integration of German Industry 4.0 and Chinese Manufacturing 2025.

On that day, Shandong and Bavaria, Germany signed a joint statement to promote cooperation in multiple fields between the two sides.
