President Gao Ling and Deputy Director Pan Jingshan of the National Supercomputing Jinan Center jointly discuss strategic cooperation

    On May 5th, at the invitation of Vice Director Pan Jingshan of the National Supercomputing Jinan Center (hereinafter referred to as Jinan Center), President Gao Ling and her delegation visited and inspected the Jinan Center. They had in-depth exchanges with Director Pan and his research team on the topic of jointly promoting the construction of industrial big data and reached a cooperation intention.

    Jinan Center is one of the trillion times national supercomputing centers approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology, with a total investment of 600 million yuan. The successful construction of the Jinan Center marks that China has become the third country after the United States and Japan to use autonomous processors to build supercomputer systems with trillions of iterations. The Jinan Center has established a research and service team that integrates technology research and development, computing services, and technical support. It has formed a series of major applications in fields such as marine science, aerospace, information security, industrial design, and smart cities.

    Since its establishment, the Shandong Equipment Manufacturing Industry Association has assessed the situation and been committed to the planning and construction of service platforms. It has listed the construction of industrial big data platforms to provide critical and public services for enterprises as one of the key tasks for the future period. The association has established the overall idea of leveraging its own advantages, integrating social resources, and innovating operational mechanisms to accelerate the construction, promotion, and application of service platforms.

    During the discussion and exchange, Director Pan introduced the overall architecture of industrial cloud design. Design an innovative cloud ecosystem, build a large-scale manufacturing platform with research and development design, simulation experiments, processing and production, procurement and supply, marketing management, and after-sales service as the main content, and promote it in stages. Phase 1: Open Design Innovation Cloud Platform; Phase 2: Industrial cluster manufacturing resource aggregation and sharing platform; Phase Three: Building a Design Innovation Cloud Ecosystem. By establishing an innovative cloud ecosystem, we aim to provide supercomputing services, cloud computing services, and big data services for the manufacturing industry. We are currently seeking cooperation with the equipment manufacturing industry to promote the design, research and development, and application of industrial innovation cloud.

    President Gao introduced the relevant situation of the Provincial Equipment Manufacturing Industry Association and expressed his ideas on the construction of an industrial big data platform. President Gao mentioned that industrial digitization is a trend in the development of the manufacturing industry, and building industrial big data is an important platform for the association to serve the industry. The association has been listed as a key task in the future and is preparing to establish an industrial digitization expert committee. At the same time, it is seeking cooperation with the government and research institutes to jointly promote the research and application of industrial big data.

    Both parties believe that the Jinan Center and the Provincial Association have a cooperative foundation for jointly building an industrial big data platform. Both parties should establish a strategic partnership, leverage their respective advantages, innovate cooperation mechanisms, and jointly promote the construction of industrial big data.

    Prior to the discussion and exchange, Director Pan accompanied President Gao on a visit to the Jinan Center's Research Achievements Exhibition Hall and the Shenwei Blue Light Supercomputing Operation Platform.

    Dr. Feng Jinqiao from the Parallel Simulation Department of Jinan Center, along with Tao Junyi, Secretary General of the Provincial Association, and Dr. Wang Lumin, CEO of Gongli Innovation Valley, participated in the inspection and discussion exchange.
