Speech by President Gao Ling at the Founding Conference of Zibo Equipment Manufacturing Industry Association
Commentary:On November 16, 2018, the Machinery Industry Chamber of Commerce of Zibo General Chamber of Commerce officially changed its name to Zibo Equipment Manufacturing Industry Association and successfully held its inaugural meeting. In the past decade, the Machinery Industry Chamber of Commerce of Zibo General Chamber of Commerce has made outstanding contributions in promoting the development of Zibo's machinery industry and enterprises. In her speech, Gao Ling put forward new requirements and hopes for the newly established Zibo Equipment Manufacturing Industry Association. Good morning everyone!
Today is a joyous day for the establishment of Zibo Equipment Manufacturing Industry Association. First of all, on behalf of Shandong Equipment Manufacturing Industry Association, I would like to extend warm congratulations to the establishment of Zibo Equipment Manufacturing Industry Association and the newly elected president, vice president, secretary-general, and directors! Sincere greetings to all leaders, guests, and industry colleagues!
Year after year, time flows like a stream. In August 2009, the Machinery Industry Chamber of Commerce of Zibo General Chamber of Commerce was established under the direct leadership and support of Zibo Federation of Industry and Commerce, Zichuan District Federation of Industry and Commerce, and Kunlun Town Party Committee and Government, jointly initiated by 17 backbone enterprises in the machinery industry in Zibo City. In the past decade, our chamber of commerce has established cooperative relationships with more than 40 chambers of commerce and associations within and outside the province, as well as internationally, including the China Association of Experts in the United States, the German Machinery Association, the Hangzhou Mechanical and Electrical Chamber of Commerce, Jining, Tai'an, Weihai Machinery Industry Association, and the Southwest Shandong Chamber of Commerce; Our chamber of commerce has led enterprises to visit and learn from more than 20 countries and regions around the world, including the United States, Singapore, Japan, the Philippines, Indonesia, Peru, Germany, France, etc., participating in exhibitions and exchanges to broaden their horizons; Our chamber of commerce continuously conducts internal exchanges, learning, training, and internal supporting cooperation to serve the transformation, upgrading, and high-quality development of enterprises; From "Five Good Chambers of Commerce" to "Excellent Organizational Unit for Promoting Industry Management Progress"; From "Qi Ya Ru Shang" to "Tie Liu", a century old history of Zibo Machinery; The series of association work from the "district system" to the construction of professional committees, expert committees, and so on, all tell us that with the active participation of our members, the joint efforts of our chamber of commerce consultants, the care and assistance of various sectors of society, and the efforts of our secretariat, our chamber of commerce has continued to grow and become a city level industry association with significant influence in Shandong Province.
Here, we express our sincere gratitude to leaders at all levels, initiating units, honorary presidents, vice presidents, advisors, as well as member units and the Secretariat!
As the first social prefecture level mechanical industry association in Shandong Province, the Machinery Industry Chamber of Zibo General Chamber of Commerce has left an important mark in the development history of the mechanical industry in Shandong Province and Zibo City. It has done a lot of work for the development of the mechanical industry in Zibo City and played a demonstrative and leading role in the establishment of various municipal associations in Shandong Province. In the process of the establishment of the Shandong Equipment Manufacturing Industry Association, it, together with the Jining and Tai'an Equipment Manufacturing Industry Associations, made important contributions to the establishment of the provincial association as the initiating unit of the prefecture level association.
In order to smoothly and seamlessly connect with the Shandong Equipment Manufacturing Industry Association as soon as possible, and to ensure the more standardized operation of the chamber of commerce, the Machinery Industry Chamber of Commerce of Zibo General Chamber of Commerce officially changed its name to Zibo Equipment Manufacturing Industry Association today. Thus, the Machinery Industry Chamber of Commerce of Zibo General Chamber of Commerce has completed its historical mission. From today onwards, the work and assets of the Chamber of Commerce will be taken over by the newly established Zibo Equipment Manufacturing Industry Association.
This year marks the beginning of the comprehensive implementation of the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and also the 40th anniversary of China's reform and opening up. The establishment of the Zibo Equipment Manufacturing Industry Association today will definitely be a brand new beginning. The new round of technological revolution and industrial transformation is impacting the global structure, which will have a revolutionary impact on the production mode, development mode, and industrial format of the manufacturing industry. Winning the initiative is the key to winning the transformation. I hope that under the leadership of President Zhang Huixin, the Zibo Equipment Manufacturing Industry Association will not forget its original intention, adhere to its mission, serve its members wholeheartedly, serve the government, serve the industry, serve society, contribute to the transformation of old and new driving forces in Shandong Province, and make new contributions to the economic development of Zibo City.
