Shandong Haoxin Group Co., Ltd. was founded in 1995 and is headquartered in Changyi Economic and Technological Development Zone, Weifang City, Shandong Province. It covers an area of 1 million square meters, has total assets of 5 billion yuan, more than 4200 employees, and produces 360000 tons of castings annually. It is one of the top 50 industrial enterprises in Weifang City and also one of the top 100 casting enterprises in China. The group has 10 subsidiaries, including Shandong Haoxin Machinery Co., Ltd., Shandong Haoxin Haode Precision Machinery Co., Ltd., Weifang Haoxin Kangmai Machinery Parts Co., Ltd., and Weifang Haotai Machinery Co., Ltd., mainly engaged in the research and manufacturing of chassis and engine components for commercial vehicles, passenger cars, engineering machinery, agricultural machinery. It is currently the largest research and development production base for commercial wheel end products in China and a globally renowned supplier of cylinder blocks and cylinder heads. The group has a Shandong Enterprise Technology Center, a Postdoctoral Innovation Practice Base, and a Shandong Automotive Brake Precision Casting Technology Engineering Laboratory. Chen Cheng, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Weizi Sub district Office in Changyi City, where the company is located, provided a detailed introduction to the situation and economic output of Weizi Sub district as a town district integrated enterprise. The Weizi Street covers an area of 160 square kilometers and has a population of over 100000. There are more than 200 casting enterprises within its jurisdiction. The street has introduced key super large enterprises such as Weichai and Yulin diesel engines to settle in, becoming a highlight of economic growth in Changyi City. The street party committee, China Foundry Association, and other national research institutions have joined forces to explore how foundry enterprises can achieve the transformation and upgrading of old and new driving forces, and become a new type of foundry industry base in the country or Shandong. Secretary Chen Cheng's introduction has aroused great interest from Xu Shiping and his delegation.
Through discussion and investigation, Xu Shiping and his team believe that Haoxin Group can serve as the initiating unit of Weifang Association. Xu Shiping hopes that Haoxin Group can start the preparatory work as soon as possible with the support and guidance of Weifang Municipal Office. Xu Shiping highly praised the Weizi Street in Changyi City as a gathering place for industrial enterprises with significant casting characteristics. He praised the local government for transforming old and new kinetic energy into a "bull's nose", focusing on transformation and upgrading, environmental protection governance, and investment attraction. The provincial association will also promote the establishment of Weifang Equipment Manufacturing Association while paying attention to Changyi City's casting base. Through the cooperation platform of the provincial Equipment Manufacturing Association, it will achieve complementary advantages and common development with equipment manufacturing enterprises in other cities, and embark on a new chapter in the transformation of old and new kinetic energy.
