The market size of autonomous driving in mining areas is growing rapidly

Recently, Yikong Intelligent Driving, a leading enterprise in the field of unmanned driving in domestic mining areas, updated its prospectus for the Hong Kong stock market. Data shows that in the first three quarters of 2025, the company achieved a revenue of 921 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 103.76%, approaching the full year level of 2024, with a gross profit of 65.328 million yuan and a significant acceleration in the commercialization process.

Under the triple pressure of cost, environmental protection, and safety, the demand for intelligent driving in global mining areas is increasing day by day. According to Sullivan's report, the global market size for autonomous driving in mining areas outside of China is expected to increase from $700 million to $8.1 billion from 2024 to 2030, with a compound annual growth rate of 51%. Among them, the size of the Australian market is expected to exceed 2.7 billion US dollars by 2030.

In terms of global layout, Yikong Intelligent Driving, together with Zijin Mining and global mining service provider Thiess, successfully completed the first "safety officer getting off the car" normalization test at the Norton Gold Fields project in Australia. This breakthrough marks the first time that China's mine autonomous driving technology has achieved fully autonomous operation in overseas mining areas with strict regulations, laying the foundation for the "reverse export" of technology overseas.

The technological accumulation of Yikong Intelligent Driving provides key support for its entry into the overseas high growth track: its BEV multimodal fusion perception algorithm can adapt to complex working conditions such as snow and rain, and its dynamic obstacle interaction trajectory prediction technology solves the problem of mixed driving of manned and unmanned vehicles. With the "mountain landing" solution, it has achieved 6-year zero accident operation and a customer retention rate of 100%.

In the domestic market, the technology solution of Easy Control Intelligent Driving has been validated in multiple scenarios such as open-pit coal mines and overseas gold mines, becoming the only unmanned driving enterprise in China to achieve completely unmanned, mixed, mixed, and mixed unloading operations. With the release of global demand for intelligent transformation in mining, unmanned driving in mines, as a key path to cost reduction, efficiency improvement, and safety enhancement, continues to expand its market space. As of December 2025, the scale of Yikong Intelligent Driving's unmanned mining truck fleet in operation has exceeded 2000 units, occupying nearly half of the market share of China's L4 level mining area unmanned driving solutions.

Industry insiders believe that through breakthroughs in core technologies, transformation of light asset models, and global layout, EasyDrive not only consolidates its leading position in the domestic industry, but also provides a benchmark case for China's mining unmanned driving technology to go global. In the future, with the iteration of technology and the deep expansion of overseas markets, Chinese mining enterprises are expected to reshape the global mining intelligent ecological pattern.
