The China Machinery Industry Federation held a series of conferences in Beijing to jointly explore a new chapter in the development of the industry during the 15th Five Year Plan period
From October 28th to October 30th, the 7th Council of the 5th China Machinery Industry Federation and the Machinery Industry Science and Technology Work Conference were successfully held in Beijing. Xu Niansha, Secretary and President of the China Machinery Industry Federation Party Committee, Zhang Wenhong, Deputy Secretary and Vice President of the Party Committee, Xue Yiping, Deputy Secretary and Supervisor, Luo Junjie, Party Committee Member and Vice President, Li Qi, Party Committee Member and Vice President, Song Zhiming, Wang Decheng, Wang Xia, Zhang Libo, Party Committee Member and Chief Accountant Duan Yingcai, Party Committee Member and Chief Engineer Li Yanxia, Party Committee Member, Chief Economist, and Deputy Secretary General She Weizhen attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Ye Dingda, Vice President of China Machinery Federation.
At the meeting, Xu Niansha gave a work report and the chairman's report. Luo Junjie gave a detailed introduction to the preparation of the "15th Five Year Plan" for the machinery industry. Chai Haitao, former director of the International Trade and Economic Cooperation Research Institute of the Ministry of Commerce, interpreted the tariff war and the response strategies of enterprises going abroad for the attending enterprises.
In the face of the deep adjustment of the global economic and trade pattern and the reconstruction of the industrial chain, China's equipment manufacturing industry taking the initiative to go global has become a strategic choice to address challenges and seize opportunities. Enterprises should use the regional cooperation mechanism to explore the Asian and "the Belt and Road" markets and achieve diversified layout. By leveraging our leading advantages in fields such as photovoltaics, wind power, and intelligent manufacturing, we aim to seize the new track of global green and digital economy, and achieve an upgrade from product output to technology, standards, and solution output. Deepen the integration of industrial chains and international production capacity cooperation with Asian countries, deeply embed into the global supply chain system, and enhance international competitiveness. Faced with a new round of technological revolution and industrial transformation, China's equipment manufacturing industry can only shape new advantages in fierce international competition by actively integrating into the global landscape.
At the same time as the conference, a symposium was held for local associations in the machinery industry, with representatives from 22 associations from 19 provinces across the country attending to exchange work experience and jointly explore development issues in the local industry.
At the meeting, She Weizhen introduced the excellent achievements of the machinery industry during the 14th Five Year Plan period, including steady growth in the scale of the machinery industry, continuous strengthening of enterprise innovation capabilities, continuous consolidation of the foundation of the machinery industry, continuous enhancement of the industrial chain and supply chain, and accelerated pace of industrial upgrading and development. At the same time, it is also pointed out that the current industry development still faces problems such as international environmental uncertainty, prominent supply-demand structural contradictions, and an incomplete industrial ecosystem. She Weizhen also explained the preparation of the "15th Five Year Plan" for the machinery industry.
At this meeting, representatives from four associations, namely Zhejiang Machinery Industry Federation, Anhui Machinery Industry Federation, Hunan Machinery Industry Association, and Sichuan Machinery Industry Federation, delivered keynote speeches. Representatives from other local associations also actively participated in the exchange and interaction.
At the meeting, Su Hongxing systematically introduced the current development status of the equipment manufacturing industry in the province, and clarified the key work deployment of the association in the next stage around the two directions of "digital transformation" and "international expansion".
Su Hongxing pointed out that the association is currently making every effort to promote the construction of a comprehensive big data platform covering the entire industry, aiming to break down information barriers in the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain, improve resource allocation and collaborative efficiency, and provide core support for Shandong to move from a "major equipment province" to a "strong equipment province".
Faced with the intensified competition in the domestic market, Su Hongxing emphasized the need to actively guide enterprises to "go global", explore overseas markets, and build a new pattern of domestic and international dual circulation development. He stated that promoting the equipment manufacturing industry to go global is not only a practical measure to cope with the current situation, but also a strategic choice to achieve high-quality development of the industry and enhance global competitiveness.
In his concluding speech, Xu Niansha emphasized that the purpose of this meeting is to deepen the study and implementation of the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, promote the preparation of the "15th Five Year Plan", establish and improve a regular exchange mechanism among associations in various cities, learn from each other's advanced experience, jointly explore development difficulties, deepen practical cooperation in information sharing, resource docking and other aspects, form a good situation of complementary advantages and coordinated progress, and jointly contribute wisdom and strength to promoting the healthy and sustainable development of the industry and serving the overall economic and social development of the country.
The successful convening of this meeting has consolidated consensus and clarified the direction for further promoting the high-quality development of the machinery industry. The association will conscientiously implement the spirit of the conference, strengthen collaboration and linkage, actively participate in the formulation and implementation of the "15th Five Year Plan", and jointly write a new chapter in the development of China's machinery industry that is innovative, green, open, and shared.
