Exploring the Digital Future and Stimulating New Quality Productivity - Shandong Equipment Manufacturing Industry Association held a special training conference on "Digital Transformation and Upgrading and New Quality Productivity"
For most enterprises, digital transformation is no longer just a strategic option, but an inevitable choice for survival and development. In order to leverage the multiplier effect of data elements and empower economic and social development, the country and Shandong Province have successively issued a series of important documents. To promote the digital transformation and upgrading of our province's equipment manufacturing industry, on February 22nd, the Shandong Equipment Manufacturing Industry Association held a special training and learning conference on "Digital Transformation and Upgrading and New Quality Productivity". This learning session was hosted by Deputy Secretary General Lee Kuan Yew and attended by all members of the Secretariat.
Lee Kuan Yew led everyone to study the "Data Element X" Three Year Action Plan (2024-2026) jointly released by the National Data Agency and 17 other departments, as well as the "Digital Transformation Work Plan for Large scale Industrial Enterprises in the Province (2024-2026)" and "Shandong Province Manufacturing Industry Digital Transformation Standardization Action Plan (2023-2025)" issued by the Shandong Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology. They also discussed how to use the association's own resources to drive the digital transformation of our province's equipment manufacturing industry.
Lee Kuan Yew used excellent cases of digital transformation in enterprises such as China National Heavy Duty Truck Group, Jinan Machine Tool Factory, and Weichai Power to provide a detailed introduction to the basic model of a digital factory that integrates CNC systems, CAD/CAM systems, PDM systems, ERP systems, CAPP systems, and OA systems. He explained the essence of digital transformation in effectively promoting cost reduction and efficiency improvement in equipment manufacturing enterprises.
The strategic emerging industries generated by the promotion of new quality productivity have the advantages of knowledge and technology intensity, low material resource consumption, great growth potential, and good comprehensive benefits. In the future, with the continuous progress of science and technology, new quality productivity will be widely applied in more fields, injecting new vitality into economic growth and social development. Lee Kuan Yew elaborated on what new quality productivity is and how to develop it.
Digital transformation is the inevitable path for enterprise development, while new quality productivity is an advanced productivity led by innovation. In 2024, the Shandong Equipment Manufacturing Industry Association will use this as a starting point to continue deepening the study of relevant policy information, driving enterprises to carry out digital transformation as soon as possible, promoting industry technological innovation, activating and developing new quality productivity, and promoting the construction of new industrialization in our province!
