On December 3rd, Zhao Juntang, the rotating president of Shandong Equipment Manufacturing Industry Association, was invited to lead a team to Chongqing to attend the 2024 Equipment Manufacturing Industry Development Conference. The theme of this conference is "Better Equipment, Better World - Intelligence, Green, Integration". It is hosted by the China Machinery Industry Federation and jointly organized by Chongqing Hub Port Industrial Park and the Machinery Industry Information Research Institute. Undertaken by Chongqing Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology, Jiangjin District People's Government of Chongqing, and China Machinery United Hua (Beijing) Technology Development Co., Ltd.

Xin Guobin, Deputy Minister of Industry and Information Technology, Zheng Xiangdong, Deputy Mayor of Chongqing Municipal People's Government, Xu Niansha, President of China Machinery Industry Federation, and Chen Liming, Chairman of the World Economic Forum Greater China Region, attended the conference and delivered speeches. The heads of the German Machinery and Equipment Manufacturers Association, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, and the Swiss Mechanical, Electrical, and Metal Industry Association respectively sent video speeches to the conference. The conference was chaired by Ye Dingda, Vice President of the China Machinery Industry Federation.

Shi Qifan, Consul General of Italy in Chongqing, delivered a keynote speech titled "Development of Italian Manufacturing Industry and Prospects for Sino Italian Cooperation".

During the promotion and release of key regions and enterprises, Tu Xingyong, Deputy Director of the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology, delivered a speech on the theme of "Taking New Quality Productivity as the Leader and Advanced Industrial Parks as the Carrier, Striving to Write a New Chapter of Modern Chongqing Manufacturing Strong City". Yang Jun, Deputy General Manager of China Aero Engine Gas Turbine Co., Ltd., delivered a speech titled "Open Sharing, Collaborative Win Win, Building a New Ecology for China's Gas Turbine Industry".

2024 Mechanical Industry Science and Technology Award Special Prize Ceremony

The conference also held the award ceremony for the Mechanical Industry Science and Technology Award. The 2024 Mechanical Industry Science and Technology Awards selected 5 special prizes, 40 first prizes, 197 second prizes, and 188 third prizes, with a total of 430 scientific and technological achievements winning.

In order to promote the high-level opening up of China's machinery industry and jointly build the "the Belt and Road" with high quality, the China Machinery Industry Federation signed memorandums of cooperation with the Asian Chamber of International Trade and Investment, the China Shanghai Cooperation Organization Demonstration Area for Local Economic and Trade Cooperation, and the Argentine Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai on the scene of the conference.

In order to accelerate the cultivation of new quality productive forces, promote the high-quality development of the machinery industry, solidly advance new industrialization, and assist in the construction of a strong manufacturing country, the China Machinery Industry Federation and 43 industry associations (schools) have gathered in Chongqing to jointly issue the "Declaration on Promoting the High quality Development of the Machinery Industry".

At the invitation of the organizers of the conference, led by rotating president Zhao Juntang and vice president Yin Jianguo, the Shandong Equipment Manufacturing Industry Association organized member enterprises to participate in the opening ceremony, main forum, related parallel forums, and multiple special events.
