On November 22, 2017, the Second Fourth Member Conference of the Machinery Industry Chamber of Commerce of Zibo General Chamber of Commerce and the Special Forum on New and Old Kinetic Energy Conversion were held in Zibo City. Secretary General Tao Junyi of Shandong Equipment Manufacturing Industry Association attended the conference on behalf of the provincial association and delivered a congratulatory message.
Zibo Machinery Industry Chamber of Commerce is a group member unit of Shandong Equipment Manufacturing Industry Association. The Chamber of Commerce has invited Sun Gang, Deputy Secretary General of the China Machinery Industry Enterprise Management Association, Co President of Zhongke Investment Promotion Group, and Beijing Zhongke Smart Factory Modern Service Industrial Park Co., LtdLi XiaopingChairman, Vice Chairman Fan Jiaping of Zibo Federation of Industry and Commerce, Deputy Secretary Wei Xinjun of Zibo Development and Reform Commission's Urban and Rural Development Coordination Working Committee, and Vice President Sun Jianbo of Zibo Council for the Promotion of International Trade attended the conference.

Secretary General Tao introduced the development of the equipment manufacturing industry in Shandong Province. Shandong Province is a major manufacturing province. As of 2016, there were a total of 12594 large-scale equipment manufacturing enterprises in the province, achieving a main business income of 424.438 billion yuan and a profit of 258.86 billion yuan, accounting for 28% and 30% of the province's industrial sector, respectively. If we exclude the electronic equipment manufacturing industry such as computer communication, our province's equipment manufacturing industry is second only to Jiangsu and ranks second in the country. In the first three quarters of this year, the added value of equipment manufacturing industry above designated size in our province increased by 10.8%, which is 3.8 percentage points higher than the added value of industrial enterprises above designated size, becoming an important force for industrial growth in our province. Secretary General Tao pointed out that in the report of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, it was pointed out that "deepening the supply side structural reform, building a modern economy, etc., must focus on developing the real economy, and take improving the quality of the supply system as the main direction." Currently, the whole country is conscientiously implementing the spirit of the 19th National Congress, and the provincial party committee and government are vigorously promoting the transformation of old and new driving forces, and establishing the development path of "four new, four modernizations, and four improvements, and building Shandong's new industry".
陶秘书长还介绍了山东省装备制造业协会工作开展情况。山东省装备制造业协会担负着协助省政府有关部门对行业实施管理、规范，搭建政府和企业的桥梁纽带，指导和引领全省装备制造业健康发展、加快发展的重要职责。今年以来，围绕服务政府、服务企业、服务行业、服务社会的主题，在政府有关部门的指导和支持下，在高玲会长和协会领导的带领下，通过全体会员的共同努力，协会的工作基础日益巩固，服务能力大幅提高，社会影响力快速提升。省协会与省政协经济委共同开展“降低企业成本”问卷调查；协助省商务厅举办了“山东省——下萨克森州经贸洽谈会“，组织了33家企业参加交流对接；协助省经信委举办了”鲁台经贸洽谈会“的高端装备制造对接会，组织了37家企业与台湾企业对接交流，高玲会长代表全省行业做主题演讲；在刚刚举办的上海国际工业博览会上，省协会协助省经信委承办了“新旧动能转换：挑战与应对”主题论坛，论坛邀请了专家学者、政府官员、企业家对话讨论，共同现场谈体会、找差距、明方向、树信心。省经信委以及十七地市地市经信委的领导，近百家企业家参加了论坛。省经信委主要领导对论坛的承办工作给予了高度肯定和鼓励。省协会还与各地市协会一起，开展了一系列丰富有效的服务企业的活动。今后，省协会将按照省委、省政府的希望和要求，致力于在服务企业发展、规范市场秩序、开展行业自律、制定团体标准、维护会员权益、调解贸易纠纷等方面发挥作用，努力成为推动我省经济发展的重要力量。
陶秘书长对淄博机械行业商会所取得的成绩给予了高度的肯定和赞扬。淄博机械商会作为省协会创立的主要发起单位之一，为省协会的成立做出了突出贡献。通过多年的发展和卓有成效的工作，淄博商会积累了丰富的经验，并为省协会工作的开展提供了重要支撑。希望淄博商会继续发扬成绩，不断创新工作思路，丰富服务内容和服务载体，努力提高协会的服务能力和服务水平。省协会也将加强对地市协会的指导和支持，推动地市协会工作再上新台阶。
