Notice of the General Office of the State Council on Establishing the National Science and Technology Leading Group

To the people's governments of all provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities directly under the Central Government, as well as all ministries and departments of the State Council and their directly affiliated institutions:

　　In accordance with the unified deployment of deepening the reform of Party and state institutions, and based on the adjustment of relevant arrangements and work needs of the deliberation and coordination institutions, the State Council has decided to adjust the National Science and Technology Education Leading Group to the National Science and Technology Leading Group. The relevant matters are hereby notified as follows:

　　1、 Main responsibilities

　　Research and review national science and technology development strategies, plans, and major policies; Discuss and review major national scientific and technological tasks and projects; Coordinate major scientific and technological issues among various departments of the State Council and between departments and localities.

　　2、 Composition personnel

　　Leader: Li Keqiang, Premier of the State Council

　　Deputy Group Leader: Liu He, Vice Premier of the State Council

　　Member: He Lifeng, Director of the Development and Reform Commission

　　Chen Baosheng, Minister of Education

　　Wang Zhigang, Minister of Science and Technology

　　Minister of Industry and Information Technology, Miaowei
