Currently, China's economic and social development is increasingly showing digital characteristics and entering a new stage marked by digital productivity. Industrial Internet is the application and development of the new generation of information technology represented by the Internet in the industrial field. Through the integrated application of the Internet of Things, big data, artificial intelligence, etc. and deep integration with industrial manufacturing technology, the industrial Internet reshapes and reconstructs the R&D, production, management, service and other links, which not only improves the quality and efficiency of the industry itself, but also derives new business types and new models such as digital management, platform design, intelligent manufacturing, personalized customization, and continues to promote the optimization and upgrading of the industry.
The wide application of digital twins, information physical systems, low code and other new technologies further promotes the integration and innovation of industrial Internet in a wider range, deeper degree and higher level. Currently, China has built nearly 10000 digital workshops and smart factories, with over 89 million sets of industrial equipment connected to key platforms. The data released shortly before the China Federation of Industrial Economics showed that the comprehensive index of industrial digital transformation evaluation for sample enterprises reached 62.7, and the readiness index for digital transformation reached 66.1. This shows that the innovative development and integrated application of China's industrial Internet have achieved positive results, and the scale and development level of intelligent manufacturing applications have continued to leap.
At present, the industrial Internet has been fully integrated into 45 major categories of the national economy, and the industrial scale has exceeded the trillion yuan mark. Many large enterprises have transformed into platform service providers after completing their own digital transformation, driving small and medium-sized enterprises to carry out intelligent transformation. More and more small and medium-sized enterprises also realize the importance of digital transformation and begin to spontaneously explore the construction of industrial Internet platforms. With the acceleration of industrial Internet from concept verification to application landing, various functions and application scenarios are also constantly expanding and deepening.
It should also be noted that China's industrial Internet still has some weaknesses. For example, the independent ability in the field of industrial control needs to be improved, high-end sensors, IoT chips and other technologies are not mature, standards and specifications are not sound, and the phenomenon of homogenization of solutions is quite prominent. Some traditional industries still haven't found the landing path of industrial Internet, and the digital transformation process of SMEs is relatively backward. With the advent of the Internet of Things era, the previously relatively closed industrial production system environment has been broken, and there is a risk of intrusion, control, and destruction of key production equipment, instruments, and systems. New security risks cannot be ignored.
To accelerate the development of the industrial Internet, we must strengthen the key core technology research, carry out engineering research around the weakness of the development of the industrial Internet, and improve the innovation and development capability of the platform; Cultivate platforms with strong technological research and development capabilities, market development capabilities, and service support capabilities, promote platform interconnection and data sharing, and form a development synergy; Accelerate the research and development of corresponding standards and norms, and strengthen the construction of the security guarantee system. With a view to the future, we should also continue to cultivate compound talents who master the knowledge of traditional industrial fields and the new generation of information technology, so as to provide strong talent support for the industrial Internet.
