The Industry University Research Application Symposium on "Economic Strategy for the Ocean: Towards a Strong Future" was held in Rizhao

From October 10th to 13th, the "2019 China Intelligent Boat Challenge" and the 2nd Ocean Intelligent Equipment and System Innovation Forum, jointly organized by the China Society of Naval Architecture, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and the Rizhao Municipal Government, were successfully held in Rizhao. In order to promote the development and transformation of new technologies in fields such as artificial intelligence and green ships, fully leverage the synergistic effect of "competition+technology+project", and assist in the construction of a national innovative city, on October 13th, the Rizhao Science and Technology Bureau, together with the Donggang District Government, organized the "Strategic Ocean, Towards the Sea, Strong Map" industry university research application symposium. More than 10 experts attended the event, including Jin Xiangjun, Deputy Secretary General of the China Society of Shipbuilding Engineers, Zhou Changli, Vice President of the Ship Branch of the China Shipbuilding Industry Association, Yi Hong, Professor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Director of the Key Laboratory of Marine Intelligent Equipment and Systems of the Ministry of Education, Hou Guohua, former Director of the Quality Evaluation Center of the General Equipment Department and member of the Strategic Advisory Committee of the Key Laboratory of the Ministry of Education, Wang Yongfeng, Director of the Military Civilian Integration Office of the Army Research Institute, Dr. Zhang Jianzhou, Chairman of Shanghai Lianqi New Energy Co., Ltd., and Yang Nian, Senior Manager of Shenzhen Sci Tech Innovation Investment Company. Wang Lixia, Deputy District Mayor of Donggang District Government, as well as the Municipal Development and Reform Commission, Science and Technology Bureau, Industry and Information Technology Bureau, Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, relevant economic park management committees, district and county science Key enterprises such as Heavy Industries, Qufu Normal University School of Engineering Comrades from the Ocean Engineering College of Rizhao Vocational and Technical College and other research institutes participated, and Pan Ning, Deputy Director of Rizhao Science and Technology Bureau, presided over the event.

Firstly, Professor Yi Hong from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Director of the Key Laboratory of Marine Intelligent Equipment and Systems of the Ministry of Education introduced the "Intelligent Marine Ranch Technology" and research and development projects such as intelligent connected green yachts and intelligent sails. Hou Guohua, former Director of the Quality Evaluation Center of the General Equipment Department and member of the Strategic Advisory Committee of the Key Laboratory of the Ministry of Education, explained how enterprises can participate in military civilian integration. Zhang Jianzhou, General Manager of Shanghai Lianqi New Energy Co., Ltd., and others released the marine new energy system project; Shandong Jinma Group, Jiejing Group, and Wulian Military Civilian Integration Industrial Park introduced the development of their enterprises and parks, and released their requirements for technology, products, and investment cooperation; Subsequently, the conference conducted in-depth discussions on the development of the marine economy, the construction of smart marine ranches, military civilian integration, and cooperation in marine engineering projects, jointly studying the direction of intelligent development of marine equipment and the application of technological achievements. Donggang District, Jinma Group, Jiejing Group, Wantong Hydraulic, Gangda Heavy Industry and other units actively connected with technologies and projects such as Smart Ocean Ranch and Ocean New Energy, and reached further cooperation intentions with experts and entrepreneurs who participated in the symposium.

The meeting issued a compilation of relevant support policies for science and technology, talent, and some enterprise technology needs in Rizhao City. The successful holding of this industry university research application symposium plays a positive role in deepening technological cooperation between Rizhao City and universities and institutes such as Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and jointly building influential intelligent boat testing bases and intelligent marine equipment achievement transformation and industrialization bases at home and abroad.
