The reporter recently learned from State Power Investment Corporation that the independent research and development of the national science and technology major project "Heavy duty Gas Turbine" led by State Power Investment Corporation has made breakthrough progress recently.

It is reported that the main design work of the conceptual design phase of the F-class 300MW heavy-duty gas turbine has been completed, and the trial production and testing of key components such as the compressor, combustion chamber, and turbine are underway. Progress has been made in various aspects including design research and development, material trial production, etc.

Among them, the compressor has completed the processing and assembly of imported multi-stage test pieces and is about to begin testing; The combustion chamber has completed the processing and manufacturing of nozzles and flame tubes, and is currently conducting low-pressure performance tests on nozzles; The turbine has completed the first stage static and dynamic blade casting first piece inspection, realizing the independent design, material, smelting, manufacturing and other localization of large-sized high-temperature turbine blades for heavy-duty gas turbines.

Heavy duty gas turbines integrate new technologies, materials, and processes, and are known as the "crown jewel" of the equipment manufacturing industry due to their super high efficiency, cleanliness, and flexibility.

China has fully organized and implemented the national major science and technology project of "aviation engines and gas turbines". Among them, the independent development of the "gas turbine" is led by State Power Investment Corporation in conjunction with Harbin Electric Group Co., Ltd., Dongfang Electric Group Co., Ltd., and Shanghai Electric Group Co., Ltd. The goal is to create heavy-duty gas turbine products with independent intellectual property rights, establish a complete industrial chain and independent innovation system.
