Since the beginning of this year, Shandong has focused on building a strong manufacturing province, vigorously developing the equipment manufacturing industry, and continuously creating a competitive and iconic industrial chain and advanced manufacturing cluster.
The promotion meeting for key equipment manufacturing projects in Shandong Province was recently held. Ten key projects have started construction and production in five places including Jinan, Qingdao, and Yantai, and four joint ventures with world-class enterprises have been signed and implemented. The total investment of the projects is expected to reach 51.5 billion yuan, covering new energy vehicles, power systems, engineering machinery and other fields, adding new momentum to the continuous growth of Shandong's power equipment industry cluster.
Wang Zhijian, Executive Vice General Manager of Shandong Heavy Industry Group, said, "These 14 projects will not only fully leverage the existing industrial driving efficiency, but also have a strong driving effect on the strengthening, supplementing, extending, and high-quality development of the power equipment industry cluster. After reaching full production capacity, it is expected to increase annual revenue by 117.6 billion yuan
This year, Shandong has made high-end equipment manufacturing a key focus in building a landmark industrial chain throughout the province, continuously promoting the transformation towards high-end, intelligent, and green products. Aiming to strengthen investment, establish a sound project guarantee mechanism, adhere to the rolling promotion of "signing contracts one batch, starting construction one batch, and putting into operation one batch", handle and supervise the implementation of difficult problems found in scheduling monitoring and on-site services at different levels, and promote the rapid completion and production of key projects.
Li Dong, Deputy Director of the Investment Department of the Development and Reform Commission of Shandong Province, said, "Make full use of supportive policies, concentrate factor resources to ensure, promote the planning and reserve of key projects at the provincial, municipal, and county levels, strengthen project continuity, form new incremental support, and effectively invest to consolidate the foundation of green, low-carbon, and high-quality development
Shandong continues to guide the equipment manufacturing industry to grow and strengthen through measures such as technological innovation and industrial chain cultivation. In the first three quarters of this year, Shandong's equipment manufacturing industry above designated size grew by 9.3% year-on-year, which is 2.2 percentage points higher than that of industrial enterprises above designated size. Among them, the domestic market share of heavy-duty trucks reached 27.1%, continuing to maintain the industry's leading position. There are 110 CNC machine tool enterprises above designated size, achieving double-digit growth in output value.
Since the beginning of this year, Shandong Province has focused on the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries, promoting the digital and intelligent transformation of enterprises. The proportion of high-end equipment manufacturing industry in the equipment manufacturing industry has reached 50%, becoming an important driving force for promoting the high-quality development of the manufacturing industry
