Chinese brands lead the new trend of consumer upgrading

In the first four months of this year, the total retail sales of consumer goods in the whole society increased by 8.0% year-on-year, continuing to maintain a stable trend. Behind the data, personalization and diversification are also becoming new consumer trends, and Chinese brand products that focus on innovation and quality are increasingly favored by more and more consumers.

This summer, online and offline sales are booming, and domestic products have become the brightest stars. The 60 year old Big White Rabbit cross-border fragrance product sold over 14000 units in just ten minutes of its launch. Among the brands with hourly sales exceeding 100 million on a certain e-commerce platform, more than half of them are Chinese brands.

Data shows that in 2018, the year-on-year increase in order amounts for Chinese brands, including urban and rural youth, reached 63% and 79%, respectively, providing a blue ocean for domestic enterprises.

In Ningbo, Zhejiang, this electric toothbrush manufacturing company has launched dozens of independently developed new products based on the characteristics of domestic consumers, achieving rapid development. The factory production scale has expanded from 20000 square meters in 2015 to 100000 square meters now.

The vast and thriving domestic consumer market has not only brought rapid development to enterprises, but also opened up new horizons for many through innovation.

In Chengdu, a company specializing in intelligent projection equipment, more than 30 intelligent projection products have enabled the enterprise to break through the traditional saturated field of home audiovisual, with daily shipments exceeding 5000 pieces.

Today's Chinese brands are becoming an important force leading consumption in the "butterfly transformation" of quality improvement. Data shows that in 2018, the market share of domestic brands of air conditioners, refrigerators, and washing machines exceeded 60%.
