On May 7-8, Liu Jiayi, the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, visited the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and Tsinghua University in Beijing, and held symposiums to exchange cooperation matters and seek common development in Shandong.
During the discussion with the Ministry of Science and Technology, Liu Jiayi first expressed sincere gratitude on behalf of the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Government for the care and support that the Ministry of Science and Technology has always provided to Shandong's work. He said that General Secretary Xi Jinping has visited Shandong multiple times and delivered important speeches, giving important instructions and directives, and has high expectations for the development of Shandong. We have conscientiously implemented the important instructions and requirements of General Secretary Xi Jinping, and with the care and support of the Ministry of Science and Technology, we have solidly promoted the construction of a strong province in science and technology, achieving positive results. It is hoped that the Ministry of Science and Technology will give more support and assistance to Shandong in the construction of national laboratories and State Key Laboratory, major scientific and technological innovation projects, construction of innovative cities, and research and development of key technologies in key fields. After the symposium, a strategic cooperation signing ceremony was held between the People's Government of Shandong Province and Tsinghua University.
