In 1988, after graduating from university, Chen Fei joined the predecessor of Hengli Electric Machinery, Dezhou Electric Machinery Factory, and successively held positions such as technician, technical director, vice president of quality, and vice president of sales. In 1998, Dezhou Electric Machinery Factory was restructured into Dezhou Hengli Electric Machinery Co., Ltd. Chen Fei has been serving as the company's Party Secretary, Chairman, and General Manager since 2000.
At the beginning of his tenure, Hengli Electric was in a difficult and arduous period. In 2018, Hengli Electric took the initiative to transform and began to tackle high-speed marine motors. The company achieved zero breakthroughs in just 3 years, with independently developed high-speed marine motors reaching 80000 revolutions per minute, which is 27 times faster than ordinary motors.
Nowadays, Hengli Electric has become the largest production base for ship motors in China, with an annual output of 450000 units (sets). In addition to large cruise ships, its products can also be seen on ships such as China's first large liquefied natural gas transport ship and the Xuelong Antarctic research vessel.
Since 2023, the company has made new technological breakthroughs in four major fields: electric motors, disc motors, permanent magnet motors, and high-speed motors. Among them, the promotion of motor products for the first time in China adopts the mixed cross cooling technology of "internal circulation+external circulation+air+seawater", breaking through the convergence technology, that is, the motor breaks through the high current and high power under the premise of low voltage. This product has been approved as the first set of technical equipment in Shandong Province. In the later period, upstream and downstream enterprises such as Shen Gu Group and China Shipbuilding Heavy Industry will be introduced to jointly build Dezhou Hengliha Engineering Vibration Reduction Research Institute and four major sections of large-scale ship motors, nuclear power main pumps and large-scale commercial motor production projects, so as to build an industrial park integrating research and development, production, upstream and downstream industries, and research. After the completion of the whole project, it is expected to produce 4.5 million kW of large marine motors and 2.5 million kW of large commercial motors annually, with an output value of 1 billion yuan.
