Su Hongxing introduced the background and discussion theme of the conference: With the evolution of the global economic landscape and the development of information technology, standardization work has become an important means to promote industrial development and regulate the market economic order. It has also become an important strategic goal for enterprises' independent innovation ability and core competitiveness, and an effective way to improve enterprise management level and promote enterprise development. Doing a good job in standardization is necessary for enterprises to achieve modern and scientific management, and it is also an essential means and foundation for enterprises to create economic benefits. It runs through all aspects of the product life cycle, such as product research and development, manufacturing, and after-sales service, and is the foundation of enterprise production and operation activities. Its strategic position and role are increasingly prominent.
The attendees discussed and analyzed the significance of enterprises participating in the formulation of national, industry, regional, and group standards from the aspects of production and operation management, internal resource integration, adjustment of product industry structure, market development, improvement of product quality, protection of intellectual property rights, and enhancement of enterprise brand, combined with specific cases and the current situation of equipment manufacturing industry participation in standardization work in our province. It is widely believed that 'those who meet the standards will conquer the world' will become a consensus in society. Once the relevant standards formulated by enterprises are approved and implemented, they will have the right to speak on industry rules, win a market barrier to protect their own development, form a path dependence for technological and industrial development, and win a higher development platform for enterprises. By leveraging their patented technology to develop industry standards, enterprises participating in standard formulation can seize market opportunities and gain huge economic benefits. After incorporating their patented technology into the standards, they can handle the use of their patented technology in the standards through methods such as charging licensing fees.
The seminar also proposed the next step of standardization construction work plan: the association will continue to do a good job in guiding, organizing and coordinating work, guiding and promoting enterprises to participate in standard preparation work, achieving the goals of standard release and application, strengthening the training of provincial and domestic policy interpretation, standard drafting norms, etc. related to standards, laying a solid foundation for further guiding and promoting the implementation and application of enterprise participation in standard preparation work, and assisting the high standard rapid and healthy development of our province's equipment manufacturing industry.
