Weihai Equipment Manufacturing Industry Association organized a seminar on the industrial mother machine industry chain

On August 30th, in order to improve the development of advanced equipment and intelligent manufacturing industry clusters in Weihai City, and to undertake the revolution of the national industrial mother machine industry chain, Zhao Juntang, President of Weihai Equipment Manufacturing Industry Association, presided over the "CNC Machine Tool Industry Chain Construction Matchmaking and Seminar" to deeply explore the action plan of the CNC machine tool industry chain industry system in Weihai City, and provide constructive solutions for the Weihai Municipal Government to build a CNC machine tool supporting industry base. Leaders from the Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, the Municipal Industrial Research Institute, the General Manager of East China Numerical Control, and key leaders from some machine tool supporting enterprises attended the meeting.

President Zhao Juntang analyzed the current situation of the CNC machine tool industry chain system in Weihai City at the meeting and pointed out that working machines are the foundation for developing high-end precision intelligent manufacturing, and industrial machines and key technology research and development are important national policies for strategic development.

Wang Haibo, General Manager of East China CNC, summarized the rapid development of East China CNC in the past two years and reported on its development plan for the next five years. He believed that as the only listed machine tool enterprise in Shandong, East China CNC should integrate with supporting industries, lead and create a complete supply chain and industrial chain for CNC machine tools, and promote the industrialization of Weihai;

The main responsible persons of machine tool supporting enterprises actively spoke up, analyzing and discussing the problems that exist in the development of the enterprise, such as raw material procurement costs, competition gap with southern enterprises, and benchmarking with similar overseas products. They hope that the government can provide guidance and support in improving the competitiveness of the enterprise.

The leaders of the Municipal Industry Research Institute elaborated on the policies of the industrial park for the development of industrial technology, and stated that the institute will spare no effort to support the development of the Weihai CNC machine tool industry chain cluster in terms of policies, talents, technology, and other aspects.

Finally, Zhao Mingjun, the head of the Equipment Industry Department of the Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, summarized the meeting from three aspects: the definition of the industrial chain, the formation of the industrial chain, and how to build the industrial chain. It is believed that there should be purposeful and targeted investment promotion, with a focus on development, identifying and addressing weak links in the industrial chain, determining target enterprises, and building industrial clusters.
