Quanzhou Equipment Association Builds Service Innovation Think Tank Organization to Support High Quality Development of the Industry

At the 2019 Member Conference of Quanzhou Equipment Association

Not long ago, the first general meeting and New Year's gathering of the Quanzhou Equipment Manufacturing Industry Association in 2019 were held at the Quanshang Hilton Hotel. Leaders and relevant department heads, including Hong Ziqiang, Deputy Mayor of Quanzhou Municipal People's Government, Lin Jinlian, Deputy Secretary General of Quanzhou Municipal Government, Ma Jing, Deputy Researcher of Fujian Provincial Intellectual Property Bureau, Liu Zejian, Deputy Researcher of Quanzhou Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, Zhang Jinsong, Party member of Quanzhou Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, and Huang Danping, Party member of Quanzhou Municipal Administration for Market Regulation, attended the meeting.

Xu Jinshan, Chairman of Qunfeng Machinery, Ke Jinqian, General Manager of Jingong Machinery, Fu Binghuang, Chairman of Quangong Co., Ltd., Su Yongding, Chairman of Shengda Machinery, Wang Shirong, Chairman of Xinhe New Materials, and Ke Qingzhe, Deputy General Manager of Jilong Machinery, as well as representatives of leaders and responsible persons of related member enterprises from Nanfang Road Machinery, Tietuo Machinery, Baiyuan Machinery and other companies, attended the meeting.

At the meeting, Xu Jinshan, the rotating president of Quanzhou Equipment Association and chairman of Qunfeng Machinery, first gave a work report on the president's work. He pointed out that in the past year, the association has added 45 new members, and currently has 220 members, with increasing industry and social influence. In 2018, the association hosted over 40 events, including technical exchange and inspection visits to Germany and France; Participate in the 14th China Industrial Forum; Organize enterprise free clinics; Group visits to international textile machinery exhibitions, Asian international engineering machinery exhibitions, etc; Participate in the research on the "Military Civilian Integration" project organized by the Municipal Political Consultative Conference; Initiate the establishment and operation of the "Fujian Equipment Manufacturing Industry Intellectual Property Alliance" and other related organizations.

Although the industry as a whole is improving, there are hidden worries amidst the joy. Enterprises generally face the dilemma of increasing output value and decreasing profits in the process of development. In 2019, the development of the mechanical equipment industry is not optimistic. Therefore, the association calls on the entire industry to move towards high-quality development, adhere to the principle of quality first and efficiency priority, promote enterprises to carry out quality, efficiency, and power reforms, improve total factor productivity, and continuously enhance the economic innovation and competitiveness of enterprises.

Subsequently, Hong Ziqiang, Deputy Mayor of Quanzhou Municipal People's Government, took the stage to deliver a speech. He pointed out that the total output value of Quanzhou's machinery and equipment industry has exceeded 200 billion yuan for the first time, becoming an important support for Quanzhou's economic development. The development of the industry cannot be separated from the guidance and assistance of business associations. Since its establishment at the end of 2014, Quanzhou Equipment Association has created multiple national, provincial, and municipal service platforms by providing industry public services, and has gained recognition from enterprises and industries. Especially the establishment of the Fujian Equipment Manufacturing Industry Intellectual Property Alliance at the end of last year is a happy event for the industry. We hope that the association will continue to play a bridging role and make good use of service resources to enhance the level of intellectual property in the industry.

Afterwards, Wang Shirong, the chairman of Xinhe New Materials and the chairman of the association's supervisory board, provided an explanation of the association's financial income and expenditure for the year 2018; Ke Jinqian, the rotating president of the association and chairman of Jingong Machinery, released the "Top Ten Events of Quanzhou Equipment Manufacturing Association in 2018"; The rotating president of the association, Su Yongding, the chairman of Shengda Machinery, announced the top ten service platforms of the association.

The Fujian Equipment Manufacturing Industry Intellectual Property Alliance is one of the top ten service platforms. The alliance is led by the Quanzhou Equipment Manufacturing Industry Association and jointly initiated by enterprises, research institutes, and service institutions such as Nanfang Road Machinery, Tietuo Machinery, Mindong Electric Machinery, Quanzhou Equipment Manufacturing Research Institute of the Haixi Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Quanzhou Institute of Technology of Harbin Institute of Technology, Quanzhou Huazhong CNC Intelligent Manufacturing Research Institute, Fuzhou University, Huaqiao University, and the West Coast Intellectual Property Research Institute of the Taiwan Strait.

During the conference, Cai Ying, Chief Manufacturing Consultant of Kingdee Group and a top domestic manufacturing expert, Li Jinsong, Director of the Association's Provincial Intellectual Property Service Workstation and General Manager of Jinxiang Intellectual Property, and Zhu Bin, President of Quanzhou Standardization Association, were invited to give presentations on "Intelligent Manufacturing - New Momentum for Digital Transformation", "Interpretation of the Patent Law Amendment (Draft)", and "Standards Promote Innovation and Development, Standards Lead the Progress of the Times".
