Reply from the Provincial Department of Science and Technology on the Evaluation and Awarding of Science and Technology Innovation Awards by Our Association (Key Points)
In order to thoroughly implement the spirit of the "Plan for Deepening the Reform of the Science and Technology Award System in Shandong Province" and in accordance with the requirements of the "Guiding Opinions on Further Encouraging and Regulating the Establishment of Science and Technology Awards by Social Forces in Shandong Province" (Lukezi [2018] No. 129), and to effectively provide services and management for the establishment of science and technology awards (hereinafter referred to as "Social Science and Technology Awards") by social forces in our province, on March 2, 2020, the Department of Science and Technology of Shandong Province decided to carry out the registration and filing of social science and technology awards throughout the province. The Shandong Equipment Manufacturing Industry Association has submitted a registration and filing application to the Provincial Department of Science and Technology to host the Shandong Equipment Manufacturing Industry Science and Technology Innovation Award, and has reported to the Shandong Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology. After verification and recognition, on May 27, 2020, the Department of Science and Technology of Shandong Province officially released the "Notice on Publishing the Registration and Filing List of Social Science and Technology Awards in Shandong Province (First Batch)", allowing the registration and filing of 22 social science and technology awards such as the "Shandong Medical Science and Technology Award". The Shandong Equipment Manufacturing Industry Science and Technology Innovation Award is among them. This award is the first, only, provincial-level, and verified equipment manufacturing industry science and technology innovation award issued by an industry association in Shandong Province.
In the implementation rules, selection plans, project applications, and other work of the future Science and Technology Innovation Award, the Provincial Equipment Manufacturing Industry Association will follow the requirements of relevant provincial departments, strengthen implementation, strictly follow the "Shandong Provincial Equipment Manufacturing Industry Association Science and Technology Innovation Award Charter" and relevant regulations, expand the coverage of selection, and carry out the selection and awarding of the Science and Technology Innovation Award in the equipment manufacturing industry from a refined and strict perspective, contributing to the scientific and technological innovation of the equipment manufacturing industry in Shandong Province and assisting the transformation of new and old driving forces in the province's equipment manufacturing industry.
