IIMarket Introduction

During the years 2008-2012, Pakistan's installed power generation capacity increased by only 16%, while power shortages surged by 242%. The power shortage problem in Pakistan is still worsening. On May 25, 2013, Pakistan's electricity generation was 9.5 million kilowatts, while its electricity demand was 16.5 million kilowatts, with a gap of up to 7 million kilowatts. The public has expressed dissatisfaction with this to the government, and today, Pakistan's electricity gap is still expanding. At present, Pakistan has over 40 million kilowatts of hydropower resources to be developed.

Secondly, Ba has abundant coal reserves, reaching up to185 billion tons, although with a high sulfur content, can still be used as a substitute for oil and gas as a thermal power fuel. In addition, the southern part of Banan is adjacent to the sea, and the vast desert areas contain inexhaustible renewable energy sources such as wind and solar energy. To cope with power supply shortages, maintain economic stability, and promote rapid development, the Pakistani government has formulated mid-term (2005-2010) and long-term (2030) development plans for the power sector. We will focus on developing large-scale hydropower and coal-fired power projects, actively seek foreign funding and technical support, actively develop and utilize renewable resources such as wind and solar energy, and expand cooperation with relevant countries in the field of nuclear power.

Currently, Pakistan is facing severe energy shortages, with electricity shortages being one of its biggest challenges. The country's summer electricity deficit can sometimes reach5000 megawatts. Pakistan hopes to improve its energy structure by relying on its abundant solar and wind energy, as well as a large amount of coal and fossil fuel resources. To this end, China and Pakistan have signed a memorandum of understanding to establish a national joint research center for small hydropower technology, which is a concrete manifestation of China's full support for Pakistan to solve its energy shortage problem. The Chinese side has clearly stated that it will continue to encourage and support Chinese state-owned and private enterprises to seek cooperation opportunities in Pakistan's traditional and new energy fields. At the same time, the Provincial Department of Commerce is also formulating relevant subsidy policies to encourage enterprises.

3、 Exhibition Introduction

　 POGEE covers the fields of machinery, electricity, energy, oil, and natural gas. It is held once a year and has been successfully held for 15 consecutive sessions. The exhibition has attracted many leading figures and experts in the power and energy industries from around the world to Pakistan to investigate the market prospects, and has received strong support from multiple departments of the Pakistani government. It has been recognized by many people in the power and energy industries in Pakistan and South Asia, and has also received high praise from major media outlets. On May 16-18, 2017, the exhibition was successfully held in Karachi, Pakistan. The joint minister of the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of Pakistan, the chairman of the Pakistan Chamber of Commerce, and the commissioner of the Thar Coal Energy Bureau in Sindh Province attended the exhibition and delivered speeches at the opening ceremony. During the exhibition, a symposium on "Research on Ways to Meet Energy Supply and Demand Balance" was successfully held.

The 2017 exhibition attracted more than 8000 professional visitors from 30 countries, and more than 282 enterprises participated in the exhibition, including China, Thailand, Singapore, the United Kingdom, the United States, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Türkiye, Germany, Nigeria, etc., 95% of which achieved good results in the exhibition, and more than 85% of the exhibitors said they would continue to participate in the next exhibition.

4、机械展区：通用机械、机械基础件、机械设备制造、工程机械、建筑机械、各类农业机械、食品加工及印刷机械、包装机械等各类工业机械；各类机床和模具及其相关附件；各类雕刻机、打标机等设备；管泵阀、流体机械与动力传动等；冰箱、空调、电风扇、厨房电器等各种大、小家电产品；五金工具，焊接与切割设备等；造纸机械及设备，生活用纸机械和设备，造纸自动化及计算机控制系统等。
